  • Out 50 horses that were caught and tamed, that had only lived in a herd for the first 6 years of their lives, this one, was the one that would not allow anyone to take her.
    In this series, you will see the complete transformation from an absolutely wild, terrified, confused horse, to an absolutely beautiful parter.
    Viewer discretion is advised and these methods, should NOT be attempted unless you are a trained professional.
    I needed to push her limits and allow her to fully protest any request, for her to realize that I am the relief, I am the safe space, you can trust me.

    Lotta know it alls in the comments here - if I were you I'd not even respond to them. There are all kinds of approaches you can take to get to the end goal. I can't stand people who just criticize in the comments. It does absolutely nothing positive.
    I just want to say I'm invested in this series and looking forward to seeing your progress with her.

    Nicely done. The treat thing - "not believing in it" - really, if you do want to explore any type of positive reinforcement type training, you don't try to bribe with food, and you don't offer food as they move away, the opposite and there is a whole approach with it. But study it by someone that is a professional. It can be a powerful tool among others like pressure and release when done well.

    This intelligence is why I love Arabians so much! She knows exactly what you are going to try next, and is challenging you to do it right. They will cooperate if you ask, but will resist all day if you demand.

    Does crossing over affect the flow of movement to do something (or not do whatever?)

    Regarding other comments,,,,,, if you have done this over 30 years it is NOT PRESSURE, IT IS RELEASE FROM PRESSURE, KEEPING IT SIMPLE, I act exactly as a mother horse or a stallian to become a TRUE LEADER, horses mentally beg for a leader horse to take charge, I DO NOT USE WHIPS VOICE NO SWEETIES. Thanks i hope people watch CAREFULLY well done, at last one of the few doing it NO FORCE, XX

    Why would you try to rope a horse who is obviously scared out of her mind! Must have been another way. Don't understand how that is building trust. She is just more afraid of you! She's been through too much and doesn't trust humans. I have an Arabian rescue who was scared of everything. It took a lot of love and kindness to gain her trust from all that she had been through. 3 years later still working on it but so so much better. Not sure I understand your tough love measures!

    I’m not seeing the releases when she gives you what you want. The mare is confused and upset. I’m all for push and release but the releases here are just not subtle enough.

    • @elitehorsemanship8765
      @elitehorsemanship8765  2 місяці тому +2

      The reason you don’t see the release is because is there is none until the very end. Yes…. That’s a long hold of pressure, but she is absolutely wild and would not look for any other option apart from fight. So she fought, against herself, for about 10mins straight. Therefore no release. This was after a significant amount of work playing with smaller pressure without a major breakthrough. Watch the last few seconds. She gives up the fight, and walks calmly towards me. That’s the big release. I don’t like the approach, but this was absolutely necessary. 🙏

    Only the worst trainers use aggression! Is slapping a horse in the face going to allow her to trust you..hell no! You had no rights at all in hitting her! Her body language was telling you she wasn't happy and you completely missed that when you were trying to get the halter on. Your ego made you ignore the fact that the owner told you this horse was head shy. Oh well a horse may bight it may kick it may also kill you if you don't know what you are doing!!

      Somebody, probably like the poster of this was responsible for the horse becoming this way. Ever been stomped by a stallion? Ever had one lunge at you with their teeth? Are you a billionaire because there are 50,000 in a holding pen in America just waiting for your expert horsemanship to tame wild mustangs or troubled horses that owners, breeders and those too unfamiliar with bad behavior can manage. Have you EVER seen what they do to each other? 1000 pounds kicking, stomping and biting hard enough to tear horse hide.

    In other words, your strategy with her consisted with two long steps: first to earn the trust, then to install the leadership. To my mind it is a little bit longer way, compare to starting from more aggressive behavior from the beginning and installing the leadership, after that, her trust would come automatically without big efforts from your side, you just need to be logical, reasonable, predictable .😊 If you would start from gaining the leadership to my mind, it would be easier for you to put the halter on :). Thank you!!!

      This is the psychological part. She either keeps fighting with nothing to resist her, or she stops fighting and realizes the release is with me. That’s when her world changes. The other option is to leave her as she is and become dog meat at some point.

  • @Alex-horsman
    @Alex-horsman 2 місяці тому +1
