I’m NDPP supporter however this is not right. Justice should be given to everyone. Human errors should not be taken for granted when it comes to election. There should be a repoll and also all the individuals starting from the presiding officer in this polling station should be suspended immediately as per the law. Long live NDPP.
Tampering with the ballot box is highly unlikely because it would require breaking the paper seals. Assuming the paper seal is intact and bears the signatures of the officials, the discrepancy between the number of votes cast according to the voter register and the ballot papers can likely be attributed to an oversight by the second polling official, who may have missed recording the details of three voters. Additionally, polling agents should verify at the close of the poll that their markings in the e-roll copy match the Presiding Officer's diary.

Read case No.1 action (a) & (b) between the line. On the day of counting RO has allowed for recounting and recounting has taken placed twice in the presence of counting agents from both sides. All the ballot papers were authenticated one by one by counting officers in the pres ence of counting agents from both the parties and all the ballot papers were found in order. If so the figure mentioned in the ballot papers account by presiding officer can be considered as human errors and the figure of ballot papers is to be accounted as per election commission instruction to all the returning officers in the state. Therefore, the claim made by Independent candidate of Ward No.9 Jalukie Town for repoll vis social media is baseless and uncalled for. Instead, the laid down instruction of the Election Commission vid No.SEC/MTC ELE-33/2024/270 dated 27th June 2024 should be understood to avoid public unrest.

The govt officials won't want to lose their job by playing games with ballot paper of one tiny ward. It's heart wrenching to lose but even in competitive exams by one mark or by 0.1 the decision is made in who gets elected and who gets the job. Counting date 29 is Saturday and next day is Sunday so officially everything closed but we did it already in the midnight after returning from counting Centre.
