This has totally widened my horizon on what i could drink instead of coffee ... Trying to get away from coffee but tea isn't doing it for me ... I enjoy the "body" of coffee - so I tried substitutes like from grains or plant roots (sorry, I don't know the English terminology) but I'm not quite happy with the fact that these too are roasted ... Really looking forward to trying out your demonstrated alternatives 😁👍

⁠So, how much cocoa do you add in the recipe?

2 cups plant milk
4 pitted Medjool dates, soaked if not using a high-speed blender
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
1.Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If a sweeter flavor is desired, you can add more dates or pure maple syrup, to taste.
2. Pour chocolate milk into a small saucepan until it reaches the desired temperature.

I also like to add some cayenne to my hot chocolate. Can you explain why the Ceylon cinnamon is preferable?

It is easier on your liver. If you are using cinnamon a lot, it is worth getting the Ceylon variety.

The cinnamon hot cocoa has no cocoa. Yours sure looked like it had cocoa; mine looks like milk!
