For most people, their Monday through Friday involves waking up to a ringing alarm, commuting an ungodly distance to work, taking orders from a boss for 8 hours, and commuting back home leaving them with just enough time to eat and watch a show on Netflix. Sadly, most people are destined to repeat this mundane way of life for the next 40 years, trapped in the perpetual cycle of working to pay bills and ultimately make the companies they work for richer than they already are. Depressing, right? Well, fortunately, there is a way out of this rat race.

Escaping the rat race is not about making more money and achieving financial freedom. This is what most people get wrong. Escaping the rat race is an awakening. Realizing that you are spending your life chasing after something that you do not need. This whole system is a game. You are taught to be a consumer. Make more money so you can spend more money. Your entertainment is plagued with advertisement to get you to want to work for more money so you can afford that shiny new item.

When I graduated college, I thought I would be getting a fancy, lucrative job with my bachelor’s degree….What a shock it was, going from place to place with my resume and being turned down or offered some of the worst jobs. I lived in an apartment so run down I would not let my friends visit me. I worked at call centers most of my career, rejoined the Army Reserves and retired at age 60 with a pension. I could not wait to get out of full time work and I am much happier now.

I just got my first job as a courier at Glovo in Romania. The thing is I really like it, I just deliver food, it reminds me back of the days when I was a teenager and I was delivering weed in my city with my bike. The bad thing is is that it's not a good long-term career. In my opinion the best incomes are made online. It's very doable. Depends on each person how much they need/want. For me 2k $ or euros online would be more than enough because I have an apartment from my mother in my city and I don't have to pay rent. In my opinion, you escape the rat race first in your mind: do you really want those designer clothes or that fancy house/car? You know you don't need it, but do you really want them? If not, stop paying for them. Some people do really want them. Every person should meditate hard on their needs and wants. Weigh how much you want each thing you're craving. Is it worth the effort?

You have all but eliminated your biggest expense federal, State County And city taxes. Low property taxes. You now have air conditioning electricity water food and shelter. Freedom. You are welcom. Get out of their system. It’s broken

Very few can leave the rat race. So although good advice. The way out is either fast through insane luck (not realistic) or slow 🐌 (decades slow). So what's a third more realistic approach? Have a job, profession, career you enjoy and can be proud of that allows you to pay your bills and have some $ left over to save and enjoy.
