I don't know if you'll ever read this, but your music is nothing short of amazing. Pokémon Colosseum and XD have always been important games to me. Colosseum was my first Pokémon game ever, and XD is my favourite of all time, I have replayed them both again and again. The soundtracks hold a special place in my heart, it has supported me through my worst moments in life, cheering me on when I needed it most. This is a beautiful performance, it's clear how passionate you are too about these specific compositions. Hearing you play this brings tears of happiness to my eyes. If by some miracle these games were remade and you were able to work on these songs again, I would consider it pure heaven. Thank you so much for bringing so much joy to everybody with your talent, Mr Tawada.
DidYouKnowGaming's pokemon video made me aware of your channel and your interview. This is such a beautiful piece you did. Thank you for composing such wonderful music.
I hope you can some day compose some themes for the main line pokemon games. If you can try getting a role for the newer pokemon game coming for the Switch.
As soon as you started 00:29, i started tearing up. Man... those were simple times. I miss those days, but we have to grow up and move on with our lives. I hope one day you can release the songs that weren't in the game. I'll be waiting
I remember playing Colosseum all the time while my pa would watch. When I told him the game was based off our state, he grew a bit more invested into it haha. It's been 5 years since I've lost him, and hearing this cover reminds me of him again. Thank you so much for the work that you've done.
Thank you so much for your work. I absolutely ADORE Pokemom Colosseum and Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, though I personally love the sequel. They both mean so so much to me. I remember I would come home from school when I was 8 in 2011 and I would hop on XD on our old Gamecube trying to figure out a good team to beat Lugia all day long. 10 years later and I have replayed the game countless times. I'm actually about 20 hours of gameplay into XD! I'll often enter a Cipher Admin battle in XD (my favorite track out of both games) and just let the music play in the background while I do other things. Here I am at 18 still gushing like a little kid over a Pokemon game. My twin brother, also 18, is the same. He loves it just as much as I do. My sister, who is 2 years older than me, loves both games and your work, too!! The 3 of us would take turns playing XD and I will forever cherish those memories. The first time we beat the game as kids is a memory I will never forget. We were all glued to our TV!! When I told my sister that I was replaying XD, she said, "When can I come over to play???" She's almost 21, ha! I speak for all of us when I say, thank you so much for your work, especially in Pokemon XD. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
@@kditty0337 I was born in 2002, I think we were obsessed with Gale of Darkness at about the same time! I've always been a massive fan of Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD. They're the games that got me into the series as a whole twelve years ago and I still love playing them to this day. One of the huge reasons why I treasure these games so much is because the atmosphere was phenomenal, which was all due to the soundtrack. From the snazzy finger snaps and saxophone in Pyrite Town to the dark, foreboding orchestra in Citadark Isle, no other game has been able to match the feeling of immersion I experience when listening to these games' music. Thank you for uploading this!
I couldn't say it better. For me, the main Pokemon games have a good soundtrack, but the Colosseum and XD ones are two of my favourite soundtracks ever.
I actually have a physical copy of both Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness. This is one of my favorite songs from those games along with Agate Village and the semi final theme. I used to leave the game on while I slept so I could listen to the music as I dreamed. :3
When I was a kid, I would run around Phenac City as much as possible so I could hear this song. Thank you for composing it. It's my favorite videogame soundtrack of all time.
Who came from Did you know gaming? Also Mr. Tawada thanks a lot. I enjoyed the music in colosseum. I did played a lot. Even up to 2019 where I completed all challenges in duel mode. Love the team genius sonority❤️
You have a gift unlike no other. Your music is simply genuis. I've never felt such joy than when listening to your melodys. Thank you for blessing us with your talent. 🙏
Thank you so much for posting and performing this, Tawada-san. You have no idea how much of a smile it could bring to my face to see you revisit one of your pieces from my childhood. I'd love to see you perform more of your compositions from Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD, but in general, it's always a pleasure to see you post a new video. The performances you upload here always bring my mind at ease. :)
Here from DYKG. Thank you for this piece and your contribution to Pokemon, Mr. Tawada. Phenac City theme will always hold a special place in my heart from my early teenage years.
I’m standing outside in 93F weather right now, and hearing this music sent a chill through my body that makes it not so bad, it was physically refreshing to hear this again.
It's amazing how with a simple press of the keys, we are back in 2004. Pokemon Colosseum and XD have a special place in my heart that I still like to revisit every few years. Thank you for making the journey so memorable.
Pokémon Colosseum and your music was with me at the time when I was depressed because I was bullied at school. It's been a long time and this melody makes me cry because I remember so many things... Thanks for everything! , at some point my little son will play Colosseum for sure ^^
I'm hardly the only person saying it, but I always look back on Pokemon Colosseum and Gale of Darkness with so much fondness, and a huge, huge part of that is thanks to the beautiful songs like this that you composed for the games. Thank you so much, Mr. Tawada.
I've been listening to this sporadically within the last several days. Not only does it remind me of my childhood, but it fills me with a sense of peace and hopefulness. Thank you for your significant contributions to music, this piece in particular means a lot to me.
Pokemon Colosseum was nothing short of amazing and to this day remains one of my favorite games of all time, and hearing the music from that time performed with such passion as this really takes me back to the days I was first discovering Pokemon and it's 3D Gamecube games. I still hope deep down that those games will get remade or remastered and if they do by some miracle, I sincerely hope you will still be involved with the composition of the music because it will not feel the same without your amazing touch to their melodies Mr. Tawada!
This song really strikes something in me. I started tearing up around 0:27, and again later on. I still remember watching my father play Colosseum when I was very young. I remember that time very fondly. Thank you very much for your wonderful contributions to that game. I love this music.
I had no idea this channel existed. I just have to say that I absolutely love your work on Colosseum and Gale of Darkness, it's some of the best music in the series.
Hi Mr. Tawada! I am incredibly late to the party, so forgive me. I just wanted to say thank you for creating the soundtrack to some of my fondest memories as a kid. Pokemon Colosseum is my favorite game of all time and that is largely due to your compositions. I still catch myself humming some of the tunes even now at 26 years old! Every Pokemon fan and myself appreciates that you keep these games alive, and hopefully someday we get to see them again :)
I'm crying. All the memories, a simpler time, full of joy and hope. I recently got married, and I'm starting my career as a respiratory therapist in the hospital. Pokémon is ending its Ash era next year, and I may be expecting a child next year. The childhood memories, I don't want them to ever go away. All your songs, I love them so much.

I just have to echo what so many people before me have said. Mr. Tawada, your incredible performance and passion in this game has reached so much farther than you could imagine. These games hold a special place in my heart because they hold a special piece of my childhood before my family split up and the eventual loss of my father. Your incredible music takes me back to those simpler times and I couldn’t be more grateful. I truly wish you nothing but the best!
A sense of melancholic joy from this track. Really takes me back to the times as a kid with no worries or struggles.
