Armstrong and Jackson are using Marine uniforms as a disguise to get into a private party where "The Lion" was attending, so they can learn more about the man who's kidnapping the actual marines that are being taken to Blackbeard Island and cloned into ninjas.
The girl screaming for help is the daughter of the professor who is being forced to clone ninjas for The Lion, and she makes a scene towards The Lion at the party and gets escorted away by the local police, who is also working for The Lion, and the police take her to the bar and Armstong and Jackson follow her for any leads.
"It's a partaayy!"

I love this Movie. The Best in the American Ninja Series.
What makes this scene work so well, is not only the hilarious performance by Steve James, but the goofy upbeat Caribbean/South African music juxtaposing the action.
It's like they realized "hey, we're filming an old-school bar brawl. Might as well go ham"
And they did, and it was awesome.

To me this was one of the best sequences any Cannon film. Proves that Steve James was Cannon's own blend of Arnold and Snipes before Wesley even had his heyday. RIP

How this film wasn’t shortlisted for an Oscar escapes me. The emotional range, the drama, the score, the budget… it had it all apart from all those things.
The thrill of walking through the vhs rental isles as a kid reading the backs of the boxes and picking out 1 or 2 movies, 3 if you were lucky.

I watched this movie when I was 7 years old. I'm 28. Watching it again feels incredibly good.
I used to rent every fighting movie I could find as a kid. We had cool VHS rental place nearby, where they had a whole shelf full of these. I rented them on weekends, and watched them a bunch of times before I had to take them back. The American Ninja movies are the only ones I asked my parents to buy for me. The first two where the best ones, I must have seen them hundreds of times :)
God how I miss movies like this they were fun we need more movies like this nowadays

Steve James was great in this scene. He added a bit of Comedy to some of the Action.

I saw this movie in the cinema back in 1988 in Chile. Still an awesome movie.

I remember getting 10 different answers from 3 different people or have to decipher some cryptic list of landmarks because no one knows street numbers.
