The number one thing you have, Vee, in spades, is self belief. It isn’t some special magic or something unattainable by others - it is THE MAGIC that will help everyone here to achieve. Believing in yourself, and not quitting even when things are hard or others try to put you down, is definitely the BEST START towards success.
I think this is what you MOST encapsulate through ALL the work you do, be it EBV, the Empowerment Brunch, the UN SDG and more - you BELIEVE in yourself and not only is it beautiful but others radiate towards you because of it.
Self belief is what empowerment is all about. If you dream you can, you CAN make it happen - even if it may be hard and even if it may take time.
Vee, as always, we are incredibly proud of you and believe you will continue to achieve amazing things!
Great to hear this life catch up and, moreover, to hear you are feeling great in yourself and in your continued journey!
    Massive 🤗,
    🌹 and fam

If you are serious about a career in education policy I would strongly recommend that you spend some time at the ‘coal face’ as a teacher. As a principal who has spent my career working in low SES areas I’ve seen many young leaders come and go. Those ones that had the biggest impact have had spent some time in the classroom and the ones who haven’t (while telling my colleagues and I how to do our jobs) have zero credibility. Have you thought about doing Teach First or Teach for America? You’d be amazing and the experience would make your work more meaningful

I completely agree. Vee seems like more of an ‘influencer’ with an educational focus rather than an educational leader at the forefront of policy making / teaching etc. But she might decide to go into academia after completing her PhD, so there’s always that option too.

@@Beyond3Generations I have no doubt she will be fine but time will tell whether her leadership will continue in 5 or 10 years. Your words were similar to those used to described the many young trailblazers that have through my school to impart their wisdom but who have since fizzled into obscurity.
We still are underfunded/understaffed and continue to face systemic issues in the education sphere we need people who are here for the long haul. Those wanting to use education (especially when it intersects with poverty) to raise their personal profile or to get social media clicks can stay at home as they get in the way.
I wish her all the best

I was watching the UNESCO live stream and when I saw the MC I immediately thought of you. But I wasn’t so sure at that moment cause I haven’t watched your videos in a while. Now that I know 100% it was you I feel so proud to be one of your supporters. Also, to know that my fave UA-camrs got to meet my bias KPOP group is like a dream come true, although I must admit I am but jealous. My friends and I were talking in our group chat about how pretty and cute you looked, and what a great job you did presenting. It got us all really hyped even though we were at home. I look forward to see you more often on the international stage. You was born for it.

Querida Vee.

Your statement that you don’t want to be arrogant enough to think that just because you have posted videos on education you are an actual educator and that you want to be make sure you qualified as possible to handle youth in vulnerable situation to help them . This is what sets you apart Vee from everyone these days who randomly want to create videos and then self identify as an expert and later monetise from youth . you are doing good and you truly deserve more respect for your approach.❤

Hey a little bit out of context but I really need some advise and I immediately remembered your channel
So I started pilot school and it’s really hard. I never had the routine of studying lots of hours per day and now I have to do it if not I’m not going to pass. The thing is I don’t have the self confidence to study, I really think that I’m dumb and I compare myself to my colleges all the time (and it doesn’t help that they seem to know everything in aviation). The majority of my colleagues wanted to be pilots since they were little but me I just decided a couple years ago and because of that I think that I’m dumb and I don’t deserve to be there.
Basically I’m feeling sad and unmotivated all the time and I’m not studying at all (pretty sure I’m going to fail the exam I have this Friday and it’s a really important exam). Because I’m felling that way I get extra sad because my parents are paying for me to be in another country and do this course (it’s really expensive) so basically I’m felling that I’m wasting their money. My mother told me that if needed they (my parents) will pay the course for the second time but that’s the last thing that I want to do.
Basically thats it, if anybody has some kind of advise I will really appreciate it.
PS: also I really want to be a pilot so changing course it’s the last thing I want to do and also a will star therapy some time soon

@helena my advice would be just do enough to get you the minimum pass mark. You have to be okay with not getting high marks and not caring what your peers are getting. At the end of the day your marks don't really matter in the professional world.

    • @starryxblue
      @starryxblue Рік тому

I agree with the previous comment and I wanted to add I've been in a similar situation. It's imposter syndrome and it really sucks. Remember they chose you, they wanted you on the course, so you are definitely good enough to be there. Your marks don't matter at all as long as you pass, and if you don't pass first time it's ok you're not the only one. It happened to me, I had to retake an exam and it all worked out fine. Focus on your goal of being a pilot and remember you won't have to work this hard forever, just until you reach your goals. Good luck.
