the woman who forgot the lyrics is actually super good and i think fits velma immensely
honestly same. laura just has that presence about her (as well as voice) that just screams velma to me
She gets the roleeeeeee
I love her voice she sounds just like Pia Douwes
She's even got her hair, in the style which was fashionable during the time period of the show
Seen her in Aberdeen on the 9 to 5 tour the other week as Violet, amazing voice!!! 💕
The lady who forgot her words was the best by a mile.
she won. even though they didn't mention on the show it was only a 2 week spot in the role. I mean it's still great for the winner but a bit misleading. kind of shows this was all advertising, they weren't going to actually "cast their velma" this way, even though these were actual experienced ladies.
@@nalabees A 2 week spot ? you are serious ?
This was so interesting to watch cause (Laura) the lady who forgot her words is my dance teacher
@@nalabees 2 weeks?? Are you freaking kidding me?
She had the look for sure x
Laura was my favorite she has the look and sound of the character. She really held it together well
Maristakingmylife she got the part
Emma Gatenby which ones laura???
@@richbritt8578 the one who forgot her words
Laura was def my fav I hope she got it cause she deserves it. Mess ups are mess ups by far the most capable of playing the part.
She got the part
Oh good! What a relief! I’m sure that she will get the training she needs to perform flawlessly on stage. Plus teach her techniques to stay calm & collective on stage.
Laura got the role and I’m so happy cuz I could imaged her as Velma in my head
Which one is Laura
@@savslife3018 the one who forgot her lines.
I feel so bad for the women who forgot the words but honestly think she was INCREDIBLE
I would’ve actually picked the woman with the long brown hair, she’s awesome!
The girl with the short hair has a great look for Columbia in rocky horror
Laura really fit the character best in my opinion. Nothing against the others’ talents; we can’t all sell every single character we audition for 100%!! But watching Laura, it was just obvious that every aspect of her portrayal clicked. Just dazzling. I hope nothing but the best for all of them! 💗
What's her full name? Or how can I find another video where she appears?
Verity looks like catherine zeta in some ways
Jude actually her names marina
I agree
We all get nervous and forget lines but never say I'm sorry at an audition.
The strawberry blonde one Lauren got it because I saw her she was amazing
You mean Laura?
Lauren wears a ponytail 😊
As a performer myself I can’t even watch auditions without having butterfly’s omg
That one girl had a great Velma voice but DID NOT look the part
Lauren which one
ies 123 the first girl to sing
I don’t even care I watched this the other day and it’s the best thing on telly I’ve seen in ages
The woman with the long brown hair was amazing!!
laura definitely deserves the role she just got very nervous
Laura got the part!! (The one who forgot her lines)
pls tell me the one that forgot her lines got the part
Gayatri Thottupura She did!! In my opinion, she was absolutely perfect for the role! Mess ups happen, and she is one of many examples that a mistake isn’t the end!
She did
The girl at 1:00 looks like Catherine Zeta Jones (Velma in Chicago the movie)
I saw Chicago with Laura as velma. She was amazing👏
I'm auditioning for this role on Tuesday and I'm freaking out
Oh man this is so fun to watch but watching that woman wiff on the lyrics was so second-hand stressful 😭 she was SO GREAT!
This TV program is one of the most unrealistic and inaccurate things ever😂 the majority of it isn’t really representative of normal industry auditions.... even the fact it’s called “The Big Audition” implying that there’s one life-changing audition is unrealistic.
The short haired woman was my favorite!
Laura was INCREDIBLE
Ik Laura forgot it twice but she was so good. She was the best one, I hope she got the part
Kudos to all four!
The woman with the long brown hair should have most definitely won.
Why does that one woman look like Sutton Foster lmao
I was just thinking the same thing !
i would think that laura’s name is velma
The long haired one can act, but not belt.
But don't you usually have to just keep on performing when you mess up. Sorry but you can't fix your mistakes on stage can you? Isn't that usually like an immediate game breaker at auditions?
Milly Wesrik thats not stage though, its an audition. Specially when you only have 8-16bars to sing, I always rather stop, and ask them if I can do it again from the top. To make sure I present my best product. Most of the time casting directors will be like “yeah, no problem”. She is clearly just nervous, but she had a career in the West End and she is super capable. I’d keep her.
@@msilva5734 Alright, thank you, I've never been to a real audition do I'll keep that in mind :)
I’ve been studying musical theatre for the past few years, and one of my teachers (who’s a casting director) said, whatever you do, NEVER stop in an audition. It is a game breaker, because what will happen if you forget your lines on stage? You’ll stop? That highly unprofessional. You’ll gain more respect from the casting crew if you improvise your lines, or even just do a riff instead of the lines you forgot, because you didn’t stop.
Yeah I think they liked her though
TakeOneVlogs that’s not what normal musical theatre teachers will say lmao
The first girl was so intense I was genuinely worried for her lol
This is so not a how a usual audition goes
Nell Rose how do they go
Nell Rose every audition is different
Nell rose of course YOU wouldn’t know how an audition goes because all you have auditioned for are your high school musicals
it really is in the final callback process of professional theatre.
roottoor boattaob They do not tell you if you got the part on the day
And the winner was??
Is there a final piece to this where they select the new Velma? Or just the audition pieces?
Kelly is definitely the best in my personal opinion
How did I get here ?
5yrs later and I’m here! How did that happen.
The first lady with short hair the best
Has this been axed???
they dont have the next video?
I just realised the lady on the thumbnail of this video is my dance teacher.
How do you go for an audition for Chicago and forget the words to the opening song?!?!?!
Eeeeek auditions are the most terrifying thing
I like the 1st lady. I wonder who got the part. Does anyone know???
Laura, the redhead.
You have to be crazy.
Does this remind anyone else of the show "I do anything"
*me just casually watching this video* 😌
Me then realising that i do dance every friday with matt (young guy on the panel): 👁👄👁
She ate
The girl in the ponytail would make an excellent roxie.
laura got the part of ur wondering
I thought Laura was stiller so much better than the rest even if she forgot her lines
I know you’re supposed to over act on stage but geez that first girl was performing like a high schooler with an ego
wait..who got the part again?
tip for everyone watching: do not apologize ever in an audition unless you literally like run into someone or hurt someone 😅 I know she got the part in the end, and these are final callbacks, but for an initial audition NO APOLOGIES they know you didn’t mean to mess up, and if it’s not a big enough mistake you could probably keep going and they’ll forget you ever messed up!
Well they were not bad... But also not "that" good. I don't really get excited to see them perform...
Who got the part?
The fourth woman looks like someone from Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
Awwww Millie Didn’t Make It
Waaaaaaaaaa
If she did she wouldn’t be in six
Look on the bright side, if she did, we wouldn't have an amazing babey Boleyn :D
Beauty! ❤️.
Good girl well done
The cover photo for this video is major cheese fest lol
Wait which one was Laura
Laura was best but she should know better: NEVER apologize!
Who got it?
Are there no LaDucas there?!
who gets the part????
the lady who forgot her lines
@@angelikajoy5673 She has not got the luck at all. Does she not have to be a hot brunette with curves?
Laura was the best singer..Verity was the best actress. Either of those two should of got it.
is this what brits think we sound like. bc oh no
No, they're doing Velma's voice from the musical. She has a more stereotypical accent.
Wait who got it I can’t find the video
Ju_ Swain laura
Who got the part
Laura, the redhead.
So... who actually got velma?
laura (who forgot her lines)
Laura war really lucky ! This Business is so hard, and such a kinda mistake as she did TWICE would have costed in New York her chance. She would not have become it at all, once Broadway hardy ever tolerates such kind of mistakes.
Who won?????
Laura
@@claudiathomson3214 thanks which one was that?😬
the girl with blonde hair @@matthewrandell5055
@@alecoe889 the one who kept messing up?
Ah thanks!
Laura sooooo could've got it
This is so inaccurate and unrealistic....
nope
@@beckstyles3467 nope to what? the fact that its innacurate?
Marika Staňková well usually if you forget the lyrics to a song you wouldn’t get the part at all.
Katelyn Glass that’s really not necessarily true, especially in these late stages of callbacks. If you forget your lyrics to your prepared song during cattle call part of auditions, then yeah probably. But they’ve brought her this far because they clearly loved her
Jonathan McCormick yes of course that’s why I said usually
If you muff an audition, surely you shouldnt get the role.
She
These women would never make it in NY. TERRIBLE singing except for the one who forgot the words.
You're so stupid for thinking that people in NY can sing
@@beckstyles3467 You're a dolt for saying that. The NY company of Chicago has lasted more than 20 years. The Velma Kellys in NYC have to be exceptional.
@@TX1961 So what
William Neely All Of those woman deserve this role. They can all sing really well and I believe that they can sing a lot better than you can. In fact, the girl who forgot the words, Lauren, probably didn’t get the part because she forgot the words and they had to start over twice. They are all marvelous singers and dancers.
@@beckstyles3467 I don't eve know how to respond to that comment. I've seen a lot of musical theatre on both Broadway on the West End, and hands down American singers and productions are almost always better, performance wise, production wise, and technology wise too. I've actually only walked out of two shows in my life, both in London.
All of them...forgettable....
Cringe 😬
Who got it?
Laura I think
