You have some much, so, please have a conversation with your homeowners insurance agent to make sure your present policy will properly reimburse any loss you may suffer. My buddy does custom paint, he cuts off the spoon handles and take a soldering iron to punch a hole in the little stub he has left, run a binder ring through them or dog tag chain through it, and hang on the wall.
Thanks for sharing! I love seeing how other folks organize their workspace. FYI - you posted the same URL for both the acrylic wall rack and the Hobby Zone stuff.
Can I ask what are the glass or plastic shelves you use I’m going to be moving into a shed my wife got her way and need to put paint somewhere other than in drawers cheers
Great setup! I really like the clear acrylic one that you said you needed to assemble @ 12:02 and that you got from Amazon. I couldn’t find a link for it in the description. Is it an actual paint rack or is it for something else like makeup or nail polish? Trying to locate it, thanks!
@@mustangfreak12345 Hey there, I'm there and AA all the time but I've grown past their inventory if you will. Have you been to Harrys Hobby shop in Norton, MA? Great hobby shop
My goal wit the channel is to test as many hobby paint lines as possible. The paint looks different once it's painted on a plastic surface. So to save money spraying 100's of paints I'm using plastic spoons as it closely resembles the plastic kits surface. They save me tons of cash using them
@@barbatosrex9473 That makes sense, Would you able to do a colour comparison between the plastic kit and the spoons plastic to show that it's identical, This would make a great video to compare the two different surfaces
It's cheap art sheets from the Dollar Store. It looks good on camera plus I like a dark surface when I build. When it gets stained and cut up I just replace it.
Great video, many helpful hints. What are the slideable(stackable acrylic trays called? Can’t find them online at container store. I’m handicapped & it’s hard for me to get out so want to order them online. Thank you.
would you recommend paint pens?I was looking oil based then i realized i am only wanting a few colors for lights, pin stripes, chrome etc on 1/64 cars. Are their markers you might recomend? I will look in ur vids to see if you got any testing vids on those. ALso...I saw u break a pen one time with chrome in it and it made me think about refillables ones.
That pen I used was a Molotow Chrome marker. Great product. Not cheap though as their chrome pens come in around $11. With a coupon at Hobby Lobby you can get one at 40% off. Paint markers are perfect for what you're looking for. Check out Mr Hobby Gundam markers. They come in a full range of colors and sizes. Molotow also makes thin markers in black which will work for you too
So I am just starting out. I got a decent airbrush with a declarable compressor canister. What paints do you recommend? mr hobby or Tamiya? my current kit reccomends ammo but id rather go for an acrylic that isn't 10 dollars a bottle lol
I love both Mr and Tamiya. Besides both being different types of paint, one is a lacquer and the other is an acrylic lacquer, Mr has way more color choices. They both go on great. I would personally buy 2 colors from each brand and test them out for yourself. It won't cost you much and just pick colors you'll use anyway. Plus both use lacquer thinner. Please keep me updated

What are the best colors to start with? I think I'm gonna start with Vallejo and grow from there. Can you give me any advice?

For the wall-mounted rack that comes with screws, I didn't see a page for that at the end of your video - just the terraced three-rack and decal tray. Looked in the Container Store website and didn't see that item there either.
Not sure if you are familiar with Crafta or not - he has a channel as well. When you mentioned those labels it reminded me of something he was using. It's a Brother cutting machine, which he uses to make stickers out of what I believe is vinyl. He draws them out on a program, then the device cuts them out similar to how a printer works. Anyway, he uses them for panel line scribing! It's a much better solution than guide tape. I thought you may be interested, here's the link to the video: ua-cam.com/video/C3YmaC_4mVA/v-deo.html
