You should make this into a kit
    Here are few suggestions:
Instead of plaster and sand use castable refactory
    Make a lid (faster heating)
Instead of stainless cups use those mini graphite crucibles- they should fit

There are hoses that are specifically made to connect the head of a torch to a propane or map gas tank and be flexible. However, I see that putting the hose on the torch head means that you only need to drill out one hole and not have to deal with another hole that you then might make incompatible with the propane tank.

When ur working with plaster it works best if you put the water in first, then pour the plaster mixture a little bit at a time. Don't stir yet wait till you have all the dry mixture added to the water. Finally you can stir so its mixed completely. This way you have more time to work with the plaster before it starts to set.

Story time: I broke a mirror and tried fixing it with adhesive. Me being the person I am, I tested its flammability. The entire thing lit on fire. I threw it, and it got put out.

To solve your drill problem. 1st you could get a punch. Very very handy. They have ones you hammer and ones that are spring loaded. Second. Start with a smaller bit. It will start faster, more accuracy and drill deeper faster. And allow the larger bits to have a guided start and also it won't bite in bad if its a really large bit and also it will drill faster. Start small, Work your way up.
