That vocal was the highlight ❤😅
Wow. Do this , load a mixed song you already finished. Load Silk followed by Bx master deck (free)....Just those two plugins on your master bus.... Adjust to taste. You wont be disappointed 👍🏽
Hmmm ok ... I wish it had a sc ... It would be amazing
Thanks Zane for alerting me to the free download period, I got it with a few hours to spare!
It makes an out of the box difference on a raw vocal. Worth mentioning that there are a ton of built in presets to try or use as a starting point too.
That vocal is hilarious 😂
I always put solid bus compressor on my vocals, is this something along those lines? I just got silk vocal. Will have to have a play with it today.
How different is this compared to "fabfilter's MB" or any dynamic Multiband compressor?
I have cakewalk by bandlab and when I'm making music the gain control it not highlighted I see it but it's not highlighted could you explain.
Thank u sir
I like this plugin. However, there is a problem. There is no marking or grid next to the dyn meter to show how much gain reduction in dB.
Usually for all compressor, gate, expander, the gain reduction is shown on the DAW console fader. However, Waves Silk Vocal just does not trigger that.
Just wondering why ?
Great demo! Ive seen dereverb demos that work wonders with crap room vox. Cheers
This is great! I did a free trial of Soothe2 and didn't buy it. But Silk for free? Yeah . . . I'll take it! It was worth waiting!
I did the free trial of soothe2 as well. I loved it! But unfortunately I couldn't drop 200 bucks on it
Thanks. Would you pls like to show your studio once.
Could this be a contender against soothe2 on vocals? Soothe2 is of course better for instruments etc. But how would you compare it to soothe?
I don’t think it can compete with Soothe 2 because it offers way more control over the frequency spectrum especially the lows and highs. I do think Silk Vocal is great for a good workflow because I find that plugins that offer a lot of control sometimes makes it easier to overprocess
Love from india
What's the difference between silk vocals mono vs silk vocal stereo it showed up after installing this plugin im confused which one to use help
Silk vocals mono should be used on mono tracks. Silk vocals stereo should be used on stereo tracks. Waves always have a mono and stereo version of their plugins when necessary. Sometimes they also have mono to stereo versions.

how do i open the plugin?
@@arneschultzYou need to set up a Waves account and download their product installer first.
So is this a dynamic EQ? Technically?
A hyper focused dynamic eq with some smart features plus it also has an additional compressor and gate that are separate from the EQ section.
👊🙂👍
So it's like in the same ballpark as smooth operator and soothe?
Yes
Kind of like a more hyper focused version of those. Those plugins have a little more flexibility where this one is really focused on vocals.
Maybe we’ll see other silk plugins from waves or a more flexible one that can be used on any instrument. With the naming of this one it makes it sound like there might be more on the way.
@@AudioTechTV Thank you for your reply. I am testing it now. It's crazy how good this is. Vocals are the biggest challenge to get right in a mix and this goes a long way in dealing with all those unbalanced frequencies. Therefore I don't mind it being built around vocals only. Waves have redeemed themselves in my eyes. How can this be free?
@@AudioTechTVI have a feeling they'll be a paid Pro version down the line
@@realmuzikstudiostv this plugin will be a paid plugin on Monday.
Which DAW is this?
The DAW used in the video is Tracktion Waveform.
it's hard to tell if it's really doing much... it seems so subjective I think paying for the full version in my opinion is a waste of money, the free hard to tell if it's really doing much.
This is the full version. It is only free until Monday. It might be worth it to invest in a good set of studio monitors or studio headphones to hear effects that aren’t intended to fully transform a sound. This plugin definitely does a lot even when used subtly. You could use it more aggressive and have the effect be more obvious and in your face but that’s not really the intention of an effect like this.
Is the compressor basically rvox?
yup, waves said they used the same coding
Is this like the fresh air plugin?
no, its like soothe
@@kjellbeatsso it works well on instruments too?
@@tiagomonteiro8897yeah I find good use for more upfront instruments
I'm just glad I can finally unsubscribe from their email list. 3-4 emails a day is insane.
This may be free but you have to download a gazillion gigabytes of Waves crap to get it!
