Wendy Benchley - From "Jaws" to the High Seas: Stories of Shark and Ocean Conservation

Wendy and her late husband, Peter Benchley, author of "Jaws," were partners in life and in diving for more than 40 years. Wendy shares fascinating, firsthand stories of their "Jaws" saga and the ocean adventures that followed to protect sharks and safeguard our seas.
Wendy and Peter spent decades traveling the globe to learn about sharks from scientists and marine experts, and they worked diligently to expand public awareness of ocean conservation issues. To honor Peter's legacy, in 2004 Wendy co-founded the Peter Benchley Ocean Awards, a 10-year effort that recognized important ocean conservation achievements. She is currently working to create well-enforced marine protected areas, push for action to protect the high seas, reduce demand for shark fin soup, stop illegal fishing and address the plastic pollution crisis.
