Fact check me on this, but I'm pretty sure the area where you can look at the sky at 4:58 was supposed to be a skybox showing Xen, as Portal and Half Life take place in the same universe.

you're right, there was no explanation as to why you were in xen, so that's probably why it was scrapped.

i always loved the echones of this glados. I don't recall seeing this room in Portal 2, but this same room was later used in Portal for the turret fight right before you find GLaDOS.
