Hey Andy! Great video and thanks for uploading! I just received my Altair Solar Wedge, but I just can’t get an image out of it?! The image is either too dull or really blown out (when I try different exposure levels in SharpCap) and even as I rack through all focus points? Can you please advise which gain and exposure settings you use, please? Also do you adjust the polarising filter very often (the internal one via the rotating ring?)…final question…sorry…do you use the wee ND filter with your camera (I’ve tried with and without and still can’t get an image?!) Thanks for your time and keep up the great work! 😊

Hello, thanks for the message! I honestly can't actually remember the gain and exposure settings, so what I'll do it set up again next time it is sunny and write down the info. I do remember using an UV/IR cut filter on the camera. I did try is without as well, but the Sun became massively over exposed without it. My UV/IR is just a cheap one and it seems to work a treat. There is also a solar contrast filter from Altair which I've got, however I've not tried this as yet. I've not used an ND filter on the Camera. So far the polarising filter has remained unchanged as well. I think I'll try each of these again next time it is sunny. Sorry for not being of more help currently, I'll try and get the info in due course. Thanks again!

The ND filter is fixed permanently in my wedge as well as the polarising filter on the rotating eyepiece holder.
