Certainly one we’ll never forget mate, it’s no wonder I’m struggling with my mood this winter after our highs we’ve had. I’m just a junkie for those experiences again once I’ve had a taste 🤪. Just gotta remember to be grateful to have them hey very fortunate to have our health and ability to do this.
I think it's time to bring you boys 😁😉 where the real youth is at 😂 just playing! But with the family there you guys are unstoppable force, which you need for those big rocks!
just take each day as it is, need to buy metal detector to add to the fun, I regret not learning to surf at Raglan, like Elvis surfed in his four movies. Thats a Chick flick theme movie Cold Weekend.
I just love a Rob Parson's feel good video, and it's double the feel good video when Levi's in it too. I'm so happy for the two of ya. It couldn't have happened to two better ol' Tassie Blokes in the whole wide world. Way to go guy's. A super fan from East Tennessee, USA ❤😊
I grew up in a small mining town in Northern California. A river called the "Feather River". It's a decent sized river not a creek. The miners when they first arrived where getting 2 ounces per PAN! This account is in numerous mining journals and the history books. Once the shore gravel was down to a few nuggets per pan they went big. They built a water flumes large enough along stretches of the river to divert all the river water into these flumes built of wood. This would let the main river be exposed to mine completely. Then they tear down the flumes move sections and rebuild to do the next stretch of river. They pulled out thousands of ounces in gold. A fella names Granville Swift was the head claim holder and guy running the show. It's said he brought home hundreds of pounds of gold. Which he buried in numerous places and gave large boxes of gold to his sister and her husband. The sister buried 2 chests of gold in a creek near where they lived in the valley. The creek flooded one year and washed those 2 chests away. So it's said 100 plus pounds of nuggets are in that creek from the feather river. Granville hid gold nuggets in the walls and in footings of his house. He had the largest cattle heard in California. A flood happened then a very cold storm right after freezing the valley and all the water. The entire heard died that winter. So Granville loaded his gold and family members and moved to Sonoma California. Where he built a giant mansion. With ranch houses all over the property and a huge ranch house for the sister. That ranch still stands today. 80 pounds of nuggets have been discovered by workers over the years that Granville hid. One bag of gold was in the fireplace rock. They where remodeling the fireplace and out pops the bag of gold about 10 pounds hidden inside the cemented rock fireplace. It's been found in walls and under the foundations. This gold was from an incredible time when an ounce of gold was worth about $10 to $12 an ounce. The first settlers that where getting a few ounces per pan where only getting $2.00 an ounce at the mining camp! That's how abundant the gold was. Now the gold is there but we have to work hard for it. Move big boulders and work deep crevices. And get nowhere near what you fellas are getting . Amazing work. Keep it up. Building your retirement fast!
Rob, I really love your work. When you commented how lucky you are to be in environs more beautiful than you could garden and you get to come pick gold out of the bottom of it, I was stunned and envious-ish. I would be supremely delighted by that experience.
A lot of channels (pawnbrokers, etc.) make 10x more money from views than they do from their trade. Therefore it's all a charade. The good part about you is that the subject of the channel is the manner in which you make the money, and the returns from views are just a cherry on top. That is why your content has that personable, legitimate feel. What a life it must be to pull gold from under the water -- thank you for all the great videos man.
@@phranque2781yep Levi made a video explaining this but apparently most people missed that part. Makes me feel grateful that I can at least keep the small amount of gold I do find.
Rob, I love watching..... Head in the water, wilderness, excitement, music. Just wanting to feel. Keep up the videos, they are more to some than just UA-cam content
Epic bro docs a legend his snuffers are the goods and he’s helped me with a few bike builds too ,great to see persistence paying off in hard ground bloody well done lads cheers tazy t
It’s so fun watching your videos, thanks for making them. This trip was especially fun to watch. You both had so many great finds and I feel like I’m right there with you. Appreciate all the hard work on your end!
I’m glad you also noticed the natural beauty of that place as well as all of the gold. Every episode I watch i just think it looks like a land before time stunning place. Thank you for sharing 👍👍🙏🇬🇧
We have Many beautiful rainforest areas like this in Australia , even close to Melbourne . They are well worth a visit for tourists to see and experience , just got to watch where you walk in summer as snakes are often found close to these creeks . If your not hunting gold , the Trout fishing in areas like this is off the charts . 👍 🇦🇺
Good job guys, i think the Tasmanian rivers like given back to people who show how wonderful Tasmania is as a natural wonder in our own backyards. Always enjoy your videos' and that of Levis as well.
We're in the NC mountains. In our area, the old-timers found a lot of gold. They were planning on washing down a mountainside, but the Civil War broke out, so it never happened.
My Dad (96)went mining for gold with his Dad. He reckoned an ounce a week was considered good wages. They worked the creeks in east Gippsland during the '30s. He still uses the price of gold as a measure of the economy.
Boys the gold is in the contact zone near the end of your video where you can see the stringers but it’s the vertical contact zone above it Take a lump hammer and cold chisel you’ll love yourself for it
Congratulations Mate! I am so happy for you two. This episode will go down in history as the "The Mother of all loads". Way to go. It's great seeing you two so very happy. (And your viewers)
Brilliant 👏 chaps ...That's a great video ,and a decent cache of gold each too... You clearly put in the effort, so you definitely deserve the rewards.
Watching your videos makes me want to jump back in the river and go gold hunting crazy. We don't have ridiculously crazy days like you but if I get even a gram day I go nuts
Having a day like that would of been an instant phone call to work saying I'm not coming in for a week haha, well done lads, I commented on an earlier vid about you guys inspiring me to do it myself, good news, I'm off in a couple of weeks for a week long stint at a family friends claim, they pulled out 17 ounces in a weekend and plenty more there, very excited and keen to get into it, with many thanks to you, cheers Rob!
Wow guys done it again you and levi are tassie ledges and thoroughly deserve the gold always love watching and wishing that I was a few years younger so I could jump in as well still love walking my local creeks with the pan and little river sluice 😊

Shame they can’t sell that gold
@@bear1245 Why can't they?
@wingnutbert9685 Tasmania laws, all gold found is the property of the commonwealth and they can claim it any time they like so its illegal to sell
@@phranque2781so what do they do with it? Of course they're selling it.
