Not many do but I remember this. I am 49 years old now and I was a TV kid. I remember laying on the living room floor and watching this on TV with my dad.
This, was before *"T. J. Hooker". "Joe Forrester, was the NBC-TV Version of "The Blue Knight". The episode of "Police Story", that introduced the Joe Forrester character was IIRC, "The Return of the Metro man". The Character, worked his way up to 'Detective'. But for some reason, decided that he needed to get back to "walking a beat".
Man, I do not remember this at all and I would have been about 15 or so. Sheesh. I'm totally surprised to see Lloyd Bridges in this and the theme music rings no bells at all. Odd.
i love these series

The great Eddie Egan with his partner Sonny Grosso were the French Connection NYPD cops.
Lloyd Bridges. A nice guy.
I liked the show.
I wish this was available on disc
Eddie Egan was a real life New York city cop.
The racist Popeye Doyle in the French Connection based on Eddie Egan.
@@mic187x2 Eddie Egan made an appearance on that classic film. He also did episodes of Police Story
well it only ran for one season so it would be easy to miss. The shows I remember from then is Charlie's Angels.
