I like it because Red Dead 2 at 60 fps doesn't exist in consoles. But some games like tlou 1 or gta 4 have a bad optimization. Is it possible to put a emulator like RPCS3 in this system?
Im a PC gamer first but i love console as well mainly sony's exclusives but now days most are coming to pc and i love my seriesx because its a great little device for emulation and playing older 360 games at higher rez/framerates.I however prefer mouse and keyboard and higher level emulation and 120fps or more on first person shooters so pc is just my main gaming console.BUT MY FAV WAY TO PLAY EVEN AT 30/40 FPS Maybe less graphics is my oled steamdeck the joy of some older great games that have plagued my backlog are weekly almost getting ran thru like my mom

There's a plugin loader that's made for the steam deck that can add extra functionality to steam big picture mode, the one i use to change the system ui sounds is called Audio Loader There are tons of different sound packs you can find on deckthemes.com even some that i myself have submitted I changed the actual Theme of BPM using CSS loader It kinda works on windows it just requires the deckthemes program and for menu sounds you have to replace them individually in your steamUI folder, think about that is they end up getting replaced with the default sounds after a period of time
You don't need to upgrade your console everytime there's a new game, especially if you have ps5. But for your PC, you'll need to upgrade your Graphics card, ram, storage, etc every once in a while.
Not necessarily you have people still on 10 series and Nvidia cards. You're not required to upgrade, consoles force upgrades in order to play newer games while older games are left behind and made inaccessible due to shotty backwards compatibility
Yeah, correct, once in a while, not when there's a new game, just like a console. Also, it's cross generational. I'm still running a GTX970 and just need to drop the settings here and there.
@@ExistencialCrisis0314 would have thought more games would be running at 120fps, but the more time passes more and more games are being locked at 30 and sometimes barely holding it. Id rather put down a fat $1800 for a system that can run almost anything at 1080p 144fps and TRUE 4k 60 than have to deal with the limitations of a console. I'll be set for several years, may only need to upgrade my CPU since thats the one thing i lowballed on.
Mine was only $1,800 and you'll spend that on the basic entry as well as paying for online for the next 6 years of the console gen. Think about it the base console is $500 You're paying $60 for a controller and probably more over time as controllers wear down and fail. 15.00 a month for 6 years for a Game pass subscription or however much switch online in PSN costs. You'll need to display so a decent monitor will net you around $180 or 290 Then you have a lack of sales, you can overall do less with the system. And you're charged more over time. Pay once for the high end and you'll be set for a good long time
before anyone talks prices remember the price of entry is the same for console console costs 500+ if not scalped you are paying over 120$ for a basic 1TB SSD for extra storage i think even more considering sony is charging up the ass for the SSDs which you cant use any other brand or it fires your ps5 so have fun with that Extra controllers that cost 70$ a pop subscription that now costs only a little over 60$ just for online and if you want all the feature likes exclusive sales and cloud saves which are necessary fork over another 199$ whats that? you need a good monitor well fork over another 120$ whats this a game? well be prepared to spend 70$ more with DLC that costs up to 150$ for everything and games never go on sale and you cant play with mods and you cant even use the dame thing for anything but games, so you are paying dame near the same for less over all in return unlike PC and don't even try to mention PC parts prices those are cheap if anything a good graphics card like the 3060 TI can whip the ps5 ass considering your console doesn't even use anything near that range, and that's a 500$ graphics card btw, cases and CPU are also cheap especially storage much much cheaper with SSDs now, anyone who says 4k GPU is just using scalper prices or buying graphics cards that will still beat a PS7 by the time it comes out
I managed a 7900XT for $799 And a R7 5800X3d for $359 I already have a large steam library from my time with the steam deck so games arent an issue, I'm pretty much set for a long time.
I remember having that and several other movie tie in games for the OG xbox when i was a kid Shrek 2 Shark tale Cars the video game Finding Nemo Shrek superslam The incredbiles Curious George And the Spongebob Squarepants Movie Game
I'd have to see id the shader pre cache on steamOS actually helps with that issue, thats what fixed the stuttering on elden ring when steam deck launched

The Party Chats with the boys hit different tho. Cross-play is a big reason why I have not purchased a PC. I do have a ASUS Rog laptop though.
Discord and steam chat can fill a similar effect, though cross play can still be a sore spot in some games, like hunt showdown
