I think Ross Wilson was underrated in Australia. I grew up listening to Mondo Rock and always thought he was a fabulous singer and entertainer. Love seeing this video again.
Ross is a great singer. Don't forget another great singer saw Mondo Rock sing down in Melbourne at a pub. He loved one of the songs he heard. So he did his own version. Touch of paradise by John Farnham I believe is the answer. Mind you Mondo Rock were a great pop band too.
Just amazing talent, truly one of the best sounds of the 80s along with Aussie Crawl, Spyvspy, Machinations, The Reels, The Sports, INXS, Split Enz, Crowded House etc. I could go on forever. They did Boom Baby Boom on Hey Hey its Saturday. I have it on VHS tape in mid 80s.
@@lauraferrante9911 In the 80s I saw INXS for $4 and Aussie Crawl for $4, they were GREAT. So many top bands and just a few dollars to have a great night. Them were the days, to be replaced with poker machines, police, and shut pubs.
@@lauraferrante9911 Wages were about $200/week, car cost $5000 new, a house about $40000. Horses for courses. Live Aussie bands were everywhere in Sydney and peanuts to go and watch. I saw AC/DC in 1975 for $2 at Marana Hall Hurstville. Actually I did not pay as we snuck in through the fire exit. We left ten minutes later as Angus Young nearly hit me in the head when he jumped off the 6feet speakers. I thought he was a wanker.
front man from daddy cool . instrumental king of Australian rock , he and gudinski changed all the rules . skyhooks loved him especially red and shirl . rock on rossy the bossy.
@@carriefawcett9990 It isn't Pat Wilson. Pat Wilson was around 35 when this song came out, and she just had the hit ''Bop Girl''. The girl in this clip looks 18 to 24. She looks the same age as Pat Wilson did in the Eagle Rock video. If that young girl is Pat Wilson months after the '"Bop Girl'' video, I will eat my own shoe...

Very cool song!
I want to see a Mondo Rock and Split Enz collab album.
Ross Wilson is a handsome man.
They don't make them like that anymore 🥲

Listen to that beat. That's the shit
Dammit, why isn't this song on the album _The Greatest_ that I have? A real omission....
Yeah, makes no sense as it was a hit-Duran Duran did that for the single version of: My Own Way on their first 2 GH as they didn't like it!
Freemason references everywhere..

There was yours truly, Keith Maclean, Slosh Jones, The Mute and Greg Bowlen. 40 years ago, baby. I can't believe how time flies.

Not top ten , wake up radio , play what we want.
Such a dumb title. Lucky the song comes across as better than what it's called.
Mondo Rock are such a talented band despite their "percieved" dorky image.
