Johnny Cosmic - Daily Hope (feat. KBong & Knowledgeborn07)

Back in 2020, I got a message from Johnny Cosmic asking if I could track some drums for a song called 'Daily Hope'. I was living in San Diego at the time and had been doing a bunch of sessions at Tribal Seeds HQ so we went in and tracked the song there. Later on in 2021 as things began to open up post-pandemic, the first public performance that I took part in was an acoustic gig with Johnny Cosmic & KBong. It was a really special evening and we took that vibe straight into the studio to record some drums for KBong's album later that weekend (video for one of his songs coming soon!). I'm thankful to have gotten to know these guys and play a small part in their musical journey - Hope you enjoy this one!

@@mattbenoitdrums For sure. I'd def be interested in a workshop online or instructional videos, like Gil Sharone's stuff. Mainly interested in conceptual; how you approach the feel, laid back vs pushing forward, and one-drop riddims. My hi hat is improving, but I'm just blown away at the speed and dexterity some of you guys have with those quick single-hand groupings lacing the groove. Looks like you're using fingers and some rebound. Any content covering those HH patterns and locking in would be appreciated.
