The tone of the '61 limited edition tore me up emotionally. I LOVE the 60s growl.

Hi michaelolz - Thanks for chipping in, much appreciated. Yes, it's a lovely guitar to play and it sounds beautiful - The combination of the 'Twisted Tele' and 'Blackguard' pick-ups is just right. Not sure if you have already seen this but I reviewed that guitar separately here - ua-cam.com/video/VTzQ8BdOiDk/v-deo.html and also alongside the Bad Cat Black Cat amplifier here - ua-cam.com/video/sF_IjK0kmto/v-deo.html - and alongside a Marshall SV20H and Tone King Attenuator here - ua-cam.com/video/l_0WMdl6CnQ/v-deo.html - Thanks for watching - I am about to rebuild and upgrade the entry level Squire Tele I reviewed here - ua-cam.com/video/_UftQGohs-g/v-deo.html - and I am in the process of building a Custom Shop T-Style guitar showing how to make your own high quality Tele at a greatly reduced price... regards: Stu

The telecaster is one of the most versatile guitars and excels in it's simplicity at the same time. And these all sound fantastic. 61 wins the tone war for me. Another great video.

Hi Allen - Many thanks for chipping in... Yes, each Tele shown is versatile but that 61 can be manipulated so easily and keep a very clear tone across the strings. Regards: Stu

They’re 3 tasty Teles, for sure! The 52 had the tones for me and a soft V neck profile which I’m really into, having picked one up from eBay to try - very strange at first, being more used to Cs but now it feels great. I ‘need’ 22 frets and headstock truss rod access, so the 19 would be my pick though! Although I’m not into relics, I do get the appeal of a played-in feel and the subtle treatment looks great! 👍

Hi Derek - While the 61 is my favourite as it is so easy to dial-in a range of tones, if your a Fender lover you can't but help love the 50s gear... they just ooz that 50s era where it all really started for guitar lovers. The Professional 2019 is a very different guitar yet has some close traits which I think was Fender's point in making that model. I should have mentioned it but forgot, The CS guitars had 10 gauge strings and the modern 2019 has 9 gauge. Regards: Stu

I love the concept of your channel. Just so you know, between eight and 9 minutes I could hear what I think may have been some digital clipping. Anyway, man I love that nocaster/broadcaster wiring with the rolled-off neck tone at the flip of a switch and the ability to blend the neck into the bridge. Far more versatility as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the content!

Hi Craig - Thanks for chipping in... Your right regarding a bit of digital clipping in some areas. What you hear is direct from the guitar via a Sennheiser mic on the cabinet straight into the camera via a small mixer. While I don't have automatic clipping control I do keep the levels down. However, sometime I need to up the gain in the edit for the sake of UA-cam and it can hit the red at certain points. I hope to illustrate some of my own project work in time to come and that of course will be correctly engineered.
Regarding the Nocaster wiring, I wasn't sure at first, even the salesman in the shop said "do you want us to wire up the other control board for you" But having played it most nights now... I really like the fact it's very different than the 61 giving lots of options using those 2 guitars. Thanks again for the comments... regards: Stu

Hi Matt - Thanks for the comment... I do prefer the 60s Tele for rhythm work with just a bit of break-up but the 50s Tele is great to jam with. I am in the process of putting together a Tele built from parts that I hope to rival those custom shops, and as I do that I was going to do a test and put some of those parts that I choose into that Debut Telecaster just out of interest... regards: Stu
