    Thanks Neze,we appreciate your hard work in giving us this information and I want to personally extend my heartfelt sympathy to the wife, children and friends and family.This is a tragic loss that could have been avoided if safety precautions was put in place in the first place and secondly the ignorance of applying CPR, this is something I've been debating on lately that when I return home to settle by God's grace next year, I will make sure I introduce it to our people out there in communities, schools and churches to create an awareness in order to save lives.I know of many people we've lost due to this ignorance of CPR.Thirdly they should have taken the young man straight to hospital but again it's the environment where it took place might have been inexperienced people present who have no idea on how to treat situations like this and so they just did what they thought was the right thing and so unfortunately causing delays in resuscitating this promising young man.May the Lord help us not to have the wrong people around us at the wrong time in Jesus Name.May the Lord give comfort and strength to this family at this difficult time.God bless you too and your family Neze.

    Given the sequence of events that led to his death, the confusion and lack of direction or responsibility at several levels, I can only conclude here that we should either chose to serve God or the devil and avoid playing in between. The situation could have been better with a medical Dr and prayers. But opted for ritual and the hospital. The sad part is that the traditional dr ultimately sent him back to the hospital where he should have been. So, this teaches us to prioritize going to the hospital in situations like these and then PRAY.
    Thank you, Barister Neze, for this wonderful presentation.

      Let's start with preventative measures first before CPR to minimise accidents.
      Make sure the boat is seaworthy for even an engine to be attached. Speed limits on the vehicles, enforce maximum capacity limits, training the operators, life jackets..... so much more. Nigerians are quick to adopt Western gadgets but slow to adapt to the education and technical details to use those things. In the West that invented those things not just anyone can operate them.

      Backwardness is really eating us out in this country called Nigeria. That is how people would be involved in an accident and people will stand and watch them die on the spot saying they can't go to the hospital or police station because they would be held responsible for the person who they brought.

    • @marlenecoudray629
      @marlenecoudray629 6 місяців тому

      @nnekaamanda3291 that is so unfortunate.
      It seems like a monumental task to bring about the required changes in a country so steeped in culture and tradition, but it is not insurmountable.
      I'm trying to be as brief as possible.
      However, those of us looking in from outside of Nigeria had always been stunned by the many incredible situations that people tolerated, but then we saw laws introduced to supersede a lot of them.
      Similarly, people's heightened awareness of those hindrances and the tragic incident with JP and others should be the catalysts for bringing about the required change.
      People pressure and strong lobbyists would be essential in those life or death matters.

      Christine, your comment " Nigerians , may God deliver you from darkness " is a very myopic and bias sentence. Mind you, the people that made that erroneous decision are not even up to one millionth of Nigerians. Many Nigerians are very sad and angry with the poor decision they made. So watch your words and dont make a very myopic ignorant and unsensible geralised comment like that again. Your comnent has also made you to be the same as those you are criticising. Speak like the child of God you profess to be.Take care and God bless you

    So many clever and intelligent people in africa...
    Teach the underprivileged ones how to survive, by giving basic training in most area.
    Basic first aid training in every area of work and life....
    Those who have made it, support those in need, and help others to move up so that they too can get ahead in life as an example and help to their families
    ..help one another....
    I pray for junior pope's family that is left behind and hope that they will get help from the other actors who are in a position to help....
    Junior pope was a memorable actor and I remember him kindness....
    I remember him from a film when he lost his memory and was cared for by a lady, and his wife did not know he was alive....very respectful film,I wish I could remember that film,first time I saw him and have never forgotten him...his voice was very distinctive...
    May his soul rest in eternal peace....and all blessings be passed on to his wife and children....

    Like it or not the passengers were the distraction to the canoe driver, they added a risk on top another risk.
    The bell guy behaved the most irresponsibly, he appeared to be the hyped one of them all.
    The Stanley guy and all involved in the mortuary and ritual saga needs to be sued.
    The incident did not require religious beliefs, the hospital is not a church. Two things killed Jr Pope:
    1. Water
    2. Negligence of the crew that moved his body to all the wrong places.
