I like how the moon is shining in the sky with clouds floating by with rain falling over the mountains and on the shelter at night as the crew rest up from a long day.🌕🌑🌕🌑
The thick, heavy rain drops slap against the outside of the metallic tents and breaks up the monotonous whirring of the machines within. The strange scientists toil in silence on their projects, the energy and excitement of the day fading into the gentle relaxation of work. It was fascinating. Very curious. One exits the structure and stretches its odd body as it stares out towards the horizon, straightening up and lowering its limbs again, it starts moving off towards some nearby bushes and out of sight. They have been here for a whole cycle now, and the Gh'anzi still haven’t learned a single definitive thing about them yet! They are all different even though they look the same overall; tall thin body with only one appendage for gripping things on either side of their bodies, two single-jointed legs with small protruding feet at the bottom that make them walk upright, no tail to speak of (unless they hide them under those weird leathery pants they wear all the time) and completely hairless apart from the weirdly shaped clumps of fur on top of their heads! The what-is-assumed-to-be Males seems to have two bumps on their chests to show dominance and longer plumes of decorated hair on their heads. What the others think to be females are taller and have bigger arms, but usually bear smaller clumps of fur around their mouths and none of the long plumes. It is a bias assumption based on the local physiology, but the scouts were fairly confident it couldn't be wrong. Their task seems to be a rather peaceful one, harmless to the locals so far as they trudge around digging holes and carrying certain rocks back to their small tent camp, but their overall body language and mannerisms are indecipherable. The females seem to rough house a bit more and are more numerous, while the fewer assumed-to-be males within the tribe seem to be able to get a lot more of what they want without violence. They automatically get the comfortable sleeping spaces and have their own private places to drop waste while the females just go out to the bushes most times, only entering in rare occasions for a much longer time, possibly to do a ritual? The information is unclear as of yet. The Gh'anzi scout ponders this more as the short-haired alien walks back into view from behind the bush and wanders nonchalantly back into their tent without so much as a glance around, a high pitched musical shrill coming from its mouth as it walks. 'These strange beings require much study.' thinks to himself as he slowly readjusts his stance to hold himself up with three of his four arms, hanging the fourth one and shaking it out in the air next to his legs to get blood flowing once more, 'I wonder what they're called...'
Addendum: The Gh’anzi ranger later wrote an entire gnorat-‘zik saga on the question of what the strangers may have called themselves, with one ettruik per month of observations and a pluscidul summary with 3 choruses and a howlungab, which was performed at the next triple eclipse of the three largest moons.
🧙♂️🪄💨 A writer could create some wonderfull post-apocalyptic superhero world adventures or post-apocalyptic monster capture world adventures with this.
