He did time during a different time when men behaved less like snakes and wolves and more like men, on top of that men from his time were just alot more tough mentally. These days the system, the COs, the gangs and predatory people just make it another beast but i can just tell the man is tough as nails and would had made it through the same regardless

While in reality, it's the exact opposite...He's pushing 60, and spent the majority of his youth in a cage; This is why states are going bankrupt, and will only continue to get worse...Thousands upon thousands of boomers are getting out after a wasted youth, and gov't services were already @ a breaking point...NOT GOOD! They can't raise taxes, and they can't cut gov't spending. They can't give him 20 years back. Their only option now, is releasing criminals twice as violent as his crime was...
He really didn't even do the crime.thats too fuckin long. Jesus. But ut is what ut is now. I'm sure he went through that phase and came across to the side of peace and acceptance.

It amazing to me many of us out here in the free world think life is bad or shit sucks...then there are people like smiley been through some of the toughest stuff and so happy and joyful...really makes u realize be grateful for the little things and enjoy life
If everyone stayed solid like this guy California prisons wouldn't be the way they are. Too many weak people started to follow others for protection and now the solid individuals are outnumbered by organizations of toy soldiers.

Crazy he got 38 years on a murder case. 38 is that caballa murder number. Its a game to these judges but us regular guys are the ones who always seem to get the short end of the stick.

I've been watching you for a minute now. I'm 61 and I've been in and out all my fuckin life. I like what your doing, I think it may really help some of the young ones and that's what is needed. There are just too many of those that do stupid shit and they don't know what's really gonna happen. Keep it up man, you do a good job

I’m from California and this one dude I met in solano state prison ca he got 25 to life for conspiracy(not snitching) while the guy who did the murder 16 years. I was mad for him and he just got granted parole n still had to wait 2-3 years to get out

Forrest was out on one of his jogs and had to urinate. With no bushes around he decided his best option was to go inside the gas tank of a semi. He pissed, ran off, and continued on his journey. The semi tho....is now known as optimus prime.

I know you have *some* idea on what's happenin on the streets when you're locked up, but to go in 1979 and get out today there has to be some degree of culture shock. Technology, cars, houses, entertainment, literally everything is so much different than it was 40 years ago. My guy seems to be making a smooth transition tho

Shit, I had my head kicked like a football in Prison. Got down with dude on the yard, and after CO's broke us up, were holding me down on my knees, face to the dirt, hands behind me they didn't restrain other dude yet bc technically he was the one being attacked, so with the chance he had, he ran up and tried to kick me head off my shoulders, lol. Was a BIG boy too, and I just remember the flash of light rq, then body just went limpish, almost went out but just shook it off, literally. Ended up shattering my nose, and hairline fracture in my eye socket/bridge area. Even then, took me about 2 weeks before I could even get a Tylenol for the migraine. Had a concussion, never saw medical for two weeks. Medical System in Prisons are GARBAGE af. Just don't go, lol... Behave, trust me. Ain't worth the headache, literally.

Beautiful up there in Northern California..know it very well. Born and raised in Southern Oregon...right on the California border.
My husband is at Solano (Vacaville) level 3 (they have level 3/4) and before Covid he was working metal fab, they're not mixing gp and sny, don't have many issues at all, still considered a 'good' prison
