Shadow is one of my favorite anti heroes! It’s amazing because in the first movie we see the couple watching Speed and here we are 4 years later the star of Speed Keanu Reeves voicing Shadow the Hedgehog. One hell of a coincidence. Love Keanu Reeves. Definitely one of my favorite actors. And what I like about the Sonic movies is that they all take place on Earth and the games the setting of the games is completely out of whack it’s like some games take place on this planet and other games take place on Earth. And I feel like the Sonic movies wrangled all that up and just let it take place in one setting. It’s simply amazing. I cannot wait for this movie to come out & I cannot wait for Sonic X Shadow Generations to come out as well. Especially the anime short series. Another crazy coincidence! Sure as hell can’t wait! And I feel like they’re changing the lore and making it better and simpler in a way. Because when we see Eggman & Gerald together in this movie I feel like it’s father & son instead of grandfather & grandson because for me it doesn’t make sense that we to just see Eggman’s grandfather instead of his father. It’s so bizarre for me personally. Either way I hope they make story and lore better for the movie & that it all can help everything make so much more sense.

SA2 will always hold a place in my heart. It was the first game my family got for the Gamecube, one of my favorite consoles. Babbage's, the game store in the mall, had a big cardboard cutout advertising it when it was released.
As someone who isn't a fan of the sonic games, I totally lost my mind when the trailer came out. Shadow looks and sounds badass. I would have loved Hayden Christensen as the voice of Shadow but I was still overjoyed when Keanu Reeves was cast. Even if he isn't trying to do a Shadow voice, his naturally deep and gravelly voice just fits the character so well.
I'm glad I'm not the only Shadow Fan who notices they re-designed Shadow's eyes & "eyeliner" in a way. I asked this same question on Paramount's video of the trailer & someone gave me a pretty good explanation for it. SHORT VERSION: Basically, the 'black' between the "eyeliner" & the eye is pretty much Shadow's "eyelid." These movies have a "realistic" style to these fictional creatures, so it would make sense if these characters look pretty different from their more "stylized" original counterparts. LONG VERSION (What they said.): "It’s because of his eyelids. The eyelids are animated and modelled separately to the eyebrows. Something with the movie hedgehog designs is that instead of one eye with one cartoonishly shaped brow, they have two separate eyes. This is so the eyebrows can be more pronounced, (Hence movie sonic appearing more expressive, unlike sometimes when game sonic looks like he is slightly frowning by default). For them to follow the same rules with having the eyebrows overlap the eyelids, that would be the only way for Shadow to dawn his red highlights"
