They only have a friendship type love. They protective of each other. I have seen a video of her saying Sam is her friend and it’s hurts her when people say things about her husband (the man she actually married) but with her being a better person and don’t entertain negativity she just holds her peace with people on social media. I think people have even photoshopped some pictures to make it look like she and Sam were together and have kids together. That’s just plain wrong for people to play with other lives like that. I wish people will let them be and leave their personal lives alone because it can be damaging for them and their spouses to have to see and hear those things.

I love them both and they have a really nice chemistry together as a working partnership. How would that carry over in real life is anybody's guess. I think for a long running show like this it is critical they are not intimately involved in one another's life. It is clear they have great respect & admiration for one another, and do their part in lifting each other up during these grueling months of long production hours.
Of course all these captured photo opportunities show the better side of them both, and the fans want to see that. But outside of filming Outlander they both have private lives and other projects they are working on.
But when Outlander is over and all the televised episodes are done, these 2 will go their Merry ways in their acting careers, but will likely stay in touch casually. But together, they do make a very handsome couple and I do wish them both a Real Love Story with a partner of their choosing, like the one they present to us every year on Outlander!
I think that horse has already left the barn...one of the reasons their portrayals of the leading characters is so riveting is because they are married--have been since 2015. But they're not allowed to make that public due to their contracts. If you go to Tumblr, there are many more details there...

They went along with that demand for career reasons. Tony is actually their PA, but it is Sam she's secretly married to and has been since 2015. Details can be found on Tumblr...
@@barbarabootes9915 I do not know anything about Tumbler or the legitimacy of its facts. You are the only person who has suggested such a marriage. So, until something is disclosed by these 2 individual actors, I will assume they are not legally married. There are other leading role actors in Hollywood who are or have been married, some have worked, while others not so much. It really doesn't matter to me if either of these two chooses marriage.
The bottom line is not whether they are married or not, it's that they have a GOOD Working Chemistry Together as professional Actors and thus able to present their respective Outlander Roles as Claire and Jamie Fraser.
@@tamiwho838 I am not the only one, though perhaps the only one you have run across, to suggest they are married. Nonetheless, one would have to ask WHY they have such good chemistry on screen? Chemistry is another word for attraction, and people either have it or they don't. It's not something actors can easily manufacture, no matter how good they are. For example, one could not say that Rik and Sophie (Roger and Bree) have that kind of chemistry--and both are good actors.
Sam and Cait are not at liberty to disclose the truth of their relationship due to their contracts and other factors. As for whether Tumblr is legitimately factual? Wouldn't we all have questions about any facts presented on SM given how easily the words and images can be manipulated?
I think, however, if one takes a look at the multiple sources, tweets, photos, etc., etc., about them available on that site, one would come away with a pretty clear idea of what they mean to each other in real life...

What does any "assumption" that they care about each other more than a little have to do with respect? Wherever they are now in their private lives now, their depth of feeling for each other was quite obvious through the first three seasons. Just like the rest of us, even Ron D. Moore, exec producer of OL thought they were "getting y cozy" at one point. Full stop, and publish THAT!

The "engagement" and subsequent "marriage" is a fake, dictated by the bosses b/c of their contracts. Am not a shipper--that would imply that they're living the lives of their characters. Their relationship happened almost the moment they met at their "chemistry" test...It's gotten very complicated since then, especially with all the fake narratives...
Yes, she was engaged to Sam and it was Sam she married. The fact that he is with Cait doesn't actually prevent him from working with his personal projects or doing charities, as well as Cait who has an institution for Childhood Cancer.

I don't know if this is true, strange to be.... I don't know if Cait or Sam would accept threats from fans and do nothing... but I don't know... I heard this story from some fans of a group called SIS; Do you know anything about it?

Only the stories mention being Tony because it's in the narrative of her and Sam's contract that she and Sam can't relate to being working together on a long-running series; From her own mouth her husband's name was never mentioned so she herself never confirmed to be that Tony. Her images with Tony are in very cold, distant events, he is rarely hugging her at events and even in more personal photos, they are just longtime friends and that's why he was chosen to be the "husband" for fans and print but Cait and Sam's close friends and family know they are together.
