Aijvars, you have inspired me to setup on my own vlog. Just bought kit for it all. Drone, Nikon D850, microphones, gimbal new lens new Sony Camera also. Also got a new backpack.
Absolutely loved this video! Showing us more of your country is much appreciated. It looks like a great place to visit (while working as a remote dev of course 😎)
@@AivarsMeijers i saw a program to move to Latvia and work there, your country looks beatiful and full of career oportunities, you should make more videos about cafes and other things there :)
great mug! Jam packed day for sure - but your remote offices are fantastic! I need to add consulting to the sources of income. Happy Mid Summer Aivars!

I Sir, great video! I am also a iOS Developer. I have been since 2015, but my apps don't really make any money. The most I have made is $134 in a year. My questions is what is the best way to advertise my apps? Thank you.
Figma is not so different from Sketch, so I'm getting around. If I need something specific, I google for a solution. I learned Sketch from Designcode.io tutorials, but that was many years ago
this is really lovely video thanks a lot for sharing how your live is ... i have a question is mx keys good with you and are you considering the new mechanical mx keys or nuphy ?
Thanks, Ahmed! MX mini are my choice fro travel keyboard from now. Sure I would like to test mechanical MX keys if Logitech will send them over, but I do not plan to buy any other keyboard for traveling. MX Mini is great keyboard and I like it.
@@AivarsMeijers what are you filming on 4k 25p? I like the live feel, the iPhone stabilises the film way too much to make it feel like a "live vlog or something".
@@petersuvara In this video most of the clips were filmed on eos R camera in 25fps or 50fps, then edited in 4k 25fps timeline. There were a few clips from shops filmed on iPhone, that was in 25fps as well
Hi Aivars, could I ask what you use to create your Home Screen app icons, I currently have the free Figma application and thinking of buying a Udemy course to learn it.
For the last app I ordered icon on Fiver. For all the apps that I made before I created icons in the Sketch App, basically that is the same like Figma. Currently I'm Switching to the Figma because it is free and more widely used
I have 3 more years to drive with Octavia, after that I will consider electric car. Tesla is not presented in Latvia yet, so that could be another car brand.
both. All the new stuff in my own apps is developed using SwiftUI, customer projects are UIKit heavy, so sticking with that for exiting screens and adding SwiftUI slowly

Scroll down to the bottom of the video description and you will see the link to the Discord server. I doubt there is possibility to have chat without starting live stream on UA-cam, but I will double check that as well.

great video! And nice touch showing Latvia; I've visited a few years ago and LOVED it there :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm just back from week long workation in seaside cabin and love to be there.
You are an inspiration. Keep it up 👍🏾
Thank you so much 🤗
Great vid! Humble and sympathetic as always, Aivars!
Thank you! Glad you like the video.
I really love, that you are keeping up those traditions! I'm interested in more Latvia specific things.
Yep, traditions in Latvia are quite strong.

hehe, yep, that mug is in my favourite coffee mug selection :)
Thanks Aivars, I will have a go at learning Figma, wish me luck, many thanks for help and advice.
This was a good one. You should do more in style of this.
so, more vlog style videos. Ok, thanks for feedback!
@@AivarsMeijers Yes, it‘s very good content. I like that. But I also think it‘s not very easy to produce as it‘s very time consuming.
@@foxbitf0xb173 That's true. "Talking head" video where you just talk to the camera while sitting in office is much easier to create.

Thank you!!
Would love to see a video that talks about pay as a freelance ios dev and how to price accurrately :D
I'm a big fan of you!
AS A developer, you recommend UIKIT or SwiftUI for the junior developer
I would start learning with SwiftUI. Do not try to learn both at the same time, that can be confusing.
Thanks brother for fulfilling my request❤️
Most welcome 😊

Which tools u used to put on your laptop near to the vacation cabin?
What are the requirements to move to Latvia? Can you please take some time of yours to make a video on that. Thank You
Which desk and chair do you have?
Do you use the Rode VideoMic NTG for all your audio recordings? Your audio is really good inside and outside.
Yes, correct. In this video all the audio was recorded in-camera using VideoMic NTG. It is a bit pricey, but very good microphone
