I remember being very young and staring at the contrails from the jets, and I said: "look at all those skyscrapers!" My family stared up and said " where?" I pointed to the contrails that each jet made. "They're sky scrapers...they scrape the sky when they go high." My family corrected me by saying that "those are not skyscrapers." I was confused. Then what is a skyscraper, I wondered? I don't think I figured out what a skyscraper was until years later watching a movie. I was shy.

My father was a pilot of such plane. He sprayed the fields with the chemicals on AN-2. It was a long time ago in 80s in Soviet Union. This information is for the people, who think that all the groceries in USSR were purely natural and organic with no chemicals at all.

@flywithcaptainjoe there are other chemtrails. historically, the soviet union used to spray silver nitrate into clouds to force rain before they cloud parade days in moscow and other important towns back in the soviet union. western military also experimented with this but it was very expensive and it's an extremely polluting activity as you might have guessed.
Those are some interesting "crop dusters" flying at very high altitudes, leaving behind miles of 'pesticides' that turned into cloud coverage yesterday

Btw I have about 4000 hours in a 802 air tractor. I flew it back one time, unloaded and with all of the agricultural equipment off so it was late and not much parasitic drag. And let me tell you that 802 with 1500 shaft horsepower is amazing.

Planes made chemical trails all of the time in the 60s; not just spraying pesticides. This was way up at a high altitude.
