Sir,you said that we cannot explain how the angle of prism affects the refractive index but i'd like to think about it this way as you can imagine that if we increase the angle of prism,clearly both of it's refracting surfaces get far from each other so,it can be related to the thickness of prism. The more the thickness of prism,the more the time light takes to cross the prism and thus,suffers greater refraction because it speed decreases more to what it had decreased if it would pass through a thin prism with less angle of prism because I think that refractive index is also the extent if slowing down of light in a medium. I am not sure about it. Please ignore if you think that this is ridiculous or correct me if you know the right thing
@@star-fm8pe but yet,to make it clear,its clear when I say that refractive index depends on angle of prism that a prism with variable optical density is being referred to which(hypothetically),should lower the angle of deviation if the angle of prism is made arbitrarily close to zero and vice versa(presumably). But hey,that's just a hypothesis made by my stupid self more than an year ago based on several books,you don't need to take it seriously.
