Hey y'all welcome back to another video in today's video i'll be making my very first tapestry crochet project I absolutely love snoopy so I thought it would be so cool to make a snoopy cardigan with him in a pumpkin wearing the sorting hot from harry potter! I recently watched harry potter and it was amazing so I thought to add that sorting hat on snoopy too. This was a very fun, exciting, interesting project.

Question how do uk wrk out the sizing?? I wanna start doing tapestry crochet but i dont knpw how to transform the graph to actual clothing
Hi! So for this graph I made it by using braceletbook.com and when you make the graph on there it is made with squares. The squares count as a stitch, the more squares they are the wider and longer the graph will be, so that can help know the size you want it to be. With my tapestry project I didn’t transform the graph to the crochet project, I crocheted the graph and back panel all in one, stitch by stitch. So whenever you make the graph on bracelet book you can adjust the sizing there! I made mine 96 long by 60 wide!
How did you figure out adding the sleeves and front panels?
THAT IS SO CUTE how did you do the front panels?and how did you know where to put the sleeves?
Thank you so much!!🥰 For the two front panels I made them half the width of the back panel. So the back panel was 96 stitches wide so I made the front panels 48 stitches wide. Stitched all the way up to the length of the back panel. With sleeves you always put it at the very top of the body of the sweater and that’s how you can place the sleeves and know where to put the arm hole too which is at the very top of the body/shoulder sides. The sleeves are always at the top of where the back panel and side panels are connected that makes the shoulder sides.
@@Tilajahslife THANK YOU SO MUCH UM TRYING TO MAKE ONE JUST LIKE IT SO IM A LITTLE CONFUSED
@TheCraftingSpree and do you remember how many balls of yarn you used? Or just like a best guess
I used about 8 rolls of yarn 4 brown and then one of each color with the snoopy image. Black, white, purple, orange.
@TheCraftingSpree THANKS one last thing I just thought of do you remember how long/wide you made the sleeves/ribbing for the sleeves?last thing a swear❤️
Cute sweater! What pattern did you use for the general construction? (Not the tapestry portion). Thank you!
Oh thank you!!🤗 I used Single Crochet for the construction of the cardigan for the back, front two panels and for the sleeves. For the ribbing I used single crochet rotating back and forth using back stitch only every other row! I didn’t use a pattern for this I just came up with it but that’s what I used.🥰
This is stinkin cute! Your so fun :) how do you know how big to make it?
Aww thank you so much!!🤗🌸 I just went off by how big i thought best for it and when I made the graph on bracket book you can adjust the squares to how long/wide you want it to be! And a video I watched from @knittylife “How I created My Neighbor Totoro Cardigan” helped me out to with the sizing and she has other videos on making graphs too!☺️
is that single or half double?
Hey! Yes I used single crochet!
This is so cute!!!
Aww thank you much, I appreciate your comment!!🥰🥰
Can you recommend some tutorials for beginners? This technique of course))
Hi sure I’ll love to recommend some tutorials!🥰 Some videos I recommend is, The Best Way to Change Colors on a Crochet Graph ( by Willow Crochet ), Intro to Tapestry Crochet ( by LoveCrafts ), How I Crochet My Neighbor Totoro Cardigan ( by KnittyLife ), How I Make Charts for Crocheting ( by KnittyLife ), Crochet Winnie The Pooh Sweater ( by Crochet By Bev). These are all videos on UA-cam & the website I used to make the graph is Braceletbook.com and Canva to fix some of the colors of the squares on the graph or to make the image you want to crochet. This technique is called either Tapestry or Intarsia Crochet!🧶☺️
can you recommend apps to use
I used Braceletbook but I know other People have used procreate! And I also used Canva to make the snoopy image!🥰
Do you have the graph you used posted anywhere?
Oh no sorry! I created this graph and haven’t shared it anywhere!☺️
Oye!!! Comparte el patrón por favor!!! Gracias
What size hook are you using ?
Hi! I'm using a 5.25 mm size hook!
