It also took me to the tower near the surface, but I had to have covered all the obstacles leading to this first, including the spider web, boulder, big mushroom, and 'angst' I think. I had also been to most other areas.

The sulfur is there so you can make the shade run to the furthest point away from your home automatically instead of having to guide him. It basically makes it so you can autowalk somewhere very far away without having to babysit him. That was the purpose I used the Sulfur for anyway, so if you get sent back to your home when you run into "yourself" in the dark, the sulfur will basically send you all the way back up there without needing to do it yourself. I was very happy to get the only "good" ending where he into his world. It was so happy and I never picked up the game after I got it. I got 100% achievements, got that ending, and uninstalled the game. It is finished and finite for me. I really loved this game.

5:23 The sulfur fire is designed to help you find places that you might've missed. It will send you to the furthest possible place from your cave home, which can include the small cave in the SW area where you need to push the boulder to release water that will flow into your home. The sulfur fire can help you navigate through the darkness to the Secret Tower after youve grown the big green mushroom and closed your eyes to get past Angst. So if you're having trouble finding the Secret Tower, just go light a sulfur fire then let Shade wander without interrupting him, and he might get there eventually.
Fantastic video. I'm so impressed with how you make a game seem approachable and showcase the cool parts and even offer tips, but I don't feel you spoil anything. That's hard to do!! As far as the library, I'll let ya know when I start playing. But hey dude, books are pretty cool on their own
I finished the game today! Had to wait 9-10 hours for the specific ending but it was so worth it! It really doesn’t take 400 days if you upgrade the Shade’s house 😊 i loved it. I had such a blast fixing up their house 😊😊
Silversnow *-* i'm not entirely sure how many days it'll take, honestly. But it is at least a month, i think maybe two. In-game, that is. Allthough I think it took about that a month for me to get done in real-time, too. It all depends on what ending you go for, really 😊 Art and furniture and crystals etc helps speed up time when the Shade is in their home, so what will take a month to "do", might happen over a few days instead! If you've booted up the game, I'm sure you've encountered the door that takes two hours to open? There are loads of little time-gates like that there. That's why speeding up the game is a must, really 😊 unless, of course, you WANT to play it for 400 days real time. 😊
@@Knallbart Thank you!!! I really didnt understand this mechanic and the game looks good but I am a collector who wants every item, activity and all ending and I was confused cause there are 4 (5?) endings and each one 400 days was overwhelming xD So I didnt know what was speeding up. But now that I know that I could play trough in a few months I guess I will buy
Silversnow *-* it is geuinely a really, very good game 😊 slow-paced at first, but before you know it, time moves terribly fast! I am the same! Partly why it took so long for me as it did, wanted all the little trinkets 😊 I really hope you like it! 😊😊😊
I have the longing and I really like it I just started and in this moment I’m finishing my first week and I don’t remember the first door opening in 2 hours because I sat there to watch the door open for 10 minutes but great video, thanks and also your voice is very relaxing
Yes, it points to the wrong door 1:38 . This one takes 2 minutes, and the one above the map takes 2 hours to open. I didn't go any further in the video because it started badly.
Hi! I recently started playing this game and I was wondering if you noticed some things I've noticed. Possible spoilers ahead . . . When you're in the map room and the "camera" slowly zooms out, showing the whole underground world, I swear I can see door shaped shadows in places, and one place (in the direction of the stalactite staircase, but go down instead of towards the Face) even looks like a gold door, but when I go to those places there's no door. I've tried waiting in front of the place where it looks like there's a gold door and nothing. Has anyone else noticed this or is being stuck at home during the pandemic making me crazier than usual?
Do you know about the full map of the caves? When you find the place with the map engraved on the wall, "investigate" then wait for a while without doing anything and the whole view will zoom out revealing the whole cave, except how to completely get to the top.
Sulfur is VERY helpful because it sends you as far away from your home as possible. So that means if you need to go to the top of the map and want to ask for 30 minutes while the shade travels there.. light some sulfur. It’s basically a way to afk travel across the map since he will walk on his own to get away from the gaseous clay lol I 100%’d this game and I have both of the released Shade plushies. I do indeed love this game. Ever since I got my shade to escape happily, I haven’t touched the game, so he’s always happy in his dream land. You can backup and reload a save file if you do jump off the cliff. It’s a way to not have to redo everything. I gave my shade the dream escape ending which I think is like one of two happy endings
I played this once I mean I saw one ending. I never got that far, should have probably watched this video before :) Can't remember it anymore what happened, and I did not play everyday :) But time went by and I sometimes came back and searched things etc. and then one day, it ended.
