I think people should consider the fact that they lived and got popular at different times. G Dragon started when there was only very little media access to the public. Artists nowadays can get popular easily because of many social media platforms. GD really gained his popularity because of pure hardwork and talent. I know Jhope is also very talended and hardworking, but his popularity is highly caused by this generation's easy access to the internet and media. And most of all, GD has this very unique charisma that you can't just find similar to anyone. I think no one can ever replace or "dethrone" GD. Many new artists can get more popular than GD but GD will always be this legendary icon in the KPOP industry.
