I am Korean. GD was the most genius in Kpop history, the most colorful, and influenced Koreans the most. There is no one in Korea who can replace him. GD's influence on K-pop was enormous. After Big Bang, there was a junior idol rapper position, and an idol group that made their own songs. The k-pop idol light stick was first made by G-Dragon, and all men's fashion followed GD, and it was said that Korean fashion stopped after GD joined the army. He was always lonely and was cursed at at a young age. But Korea still needs his talent. I hope he can control his wounds and release the album again.
There should be LAW implement in K to stopped all these toxic peoples criticising ppls as they like. They are gossips everywhere for famous ppls but I think K is the worst. We are already living in 2022 yet we still see ppl committed suicide bcos of public view. To me small minded peoples are like parasites!!! I knew GD was a hard worker, but this video opened my eyes to JUST how much he’s gone through. He’s truly one of the most creative, passionate, hard working artists of this century. Gd literally carried his Band and the company all by himself. He deserves all the love, support and respect. Love you Gd and Jiyong. Also the Knetizens have not changed one bit to this day. Attacking idols and pushing them to the edge where they cannot turn back to nobody and still these haters wouldn't stop until the idol at last gives in and ends their live. Yet they live on with their daily life like they didn't just end someone's life who is a brother, sister and a son and daughter to someone. It feels like the favourite thing that these people love to do is to attack idols and any other people. It bothers me so much that they are THAT crowded. GD is just trying to make people have fun. He isn't just an idol, but also a litteral ARTİST who puts a lot of thoughts and efforts to his work. There are people who attack idols and singers like that. Some artists like Avici commited suicide cause they couldn't handle this critique. The Kpop idol Goo-Hara also did the same thing for probably a similar reason (Idk much about her story) But lets not forget that GD and Bigbang has a whole real fanbase who supports them at any time. Despite that, he will always love & have the biggest pride for his country even if they are not kind to him. He always made sure no matter how much he experiment with music, he doesn’t lose who he is as a Korean artist. This is why they are one of the few boy groups whose music is truly loved by the general pubic as proven by all their comebacks including 2022 Still Life. At that time, Bigbang and GD gave me a great deal of strength. As I grew older, I lost interest in being a fan. Today, I stumbled upon a video and it made me feel sad. I am REALLY not a person who cries like really never but those last minutes brought tears to my eyes. You said it all, we want him back but more importantly we want him happy. I went to see him live in Berlin in 2017 and he was incredibly amazing but he seemed very sad too, and even though it was one of the best days of my life, I still felt deeply sorry and sad for him. His album Kwon Jiyong is his attempts to rediscover and introduce Kwon Jiyong, his real self, to the world. Also in the song "Superstar" he mentions that he got everything now -everything that he only dreams of before - but it is still lonely at the top. I suggest you watch his documentary Kwon Jiyong. Having their status and fame makes it harder to trust people...that's why he is more comfortable with people who have been there with them since the beginning -their stylist GeeUn, their hairstylist Taehyun, their choreographer, etc. His bubbly, childlike personality surfaces when he is with them. Also he feels the public scrutiny that's why in the documentary he talks about building a house where he can be secluded something like that. I do feel the same way as the creator of this video...as much as I want BigBang to keep making and releasing music, I feel like it is a selfish wish. I am happy that they get to live a more normal life now and just hope that they can share the music they create to us if they want to.

I went to his last kwon Ji Young concert, and cried when he was giving his speech hearing how hurt and lonely he is. Many of today's aspiring artists set their eyes on fame without preparing themselves for the journey in between. Talent can only get you so far but his work ethic got him everywhere he wanted. Korea has a very toxic culture. From toxic beauty standards to toxic work culture to spewing toxic insults in video games, the list goes on. Korea overworks and overstress their people and even heavily stigmatize mental health issues. They have the 4th highest suicide rate in the world. The culture itself breeds narcissism, because they try to raise everyone to be as superficial and judgmental as possible. If GD wants to get better, I think he has a higher chance of recovering from depression and being overworked if he leaves South Korea and all the narcissistic netizens behind. G-Dragon was the reason I discovered kpop. His song One of a Kind was the first ever kpop song I ever heard. I became a fan instantly. Then I discovered he was in a group BigBang. I became their fan instantly lol. I remember alot of the hate GD would constantly get. It was unreasonable, so unfair, and I felt so bad for him. I was getting a little teary eyed because I remembered some of the interviews and appearances he did where he looked so defeated. It was heartbreaking. I sincerely hope he is doing better these days though. I hope he is putting himself first above all else now.

The very first time I heard about GDRAGON’s name was during year 2013, I knew TOP’s first before Ji. I don’t know anything about him only the fact that he’s really famous. His name has a great and powerful impact, I respect him from the beginning eventhough I don’t know anything much about him. I just give him my Highest Respect. Then during 2015-2016 when I became a Fan of my other stan group ( EXO ), I listened to BIGBANG songs. I started checking the FIVE members only that time I found out that GDRAGON was a member and leader of BIGBANG. I have a huge interest about Jiyong not because of his Fame but because of the songs that he wrote. I really admires his gift of songwriting, that’s when I found out many things about him. That his life, even though he’s really famous, always in the spotlight, many people knows him and BIGBANG. Despite all of this, behind the camera, behind the light, He is lonely. I felt really sad especially when other people says lots of negative things against him. Like yeah, you just know GDRAGON’s name but you don’t really know anything about him, about his life, about his pasts. He attained the level of success because he is hardworking, he has a dream to pursue and he never stop working, he never stop dreaming all his life. The success that he has right now, all of this achievements, that’s from his Sweat and Tears. He deserves that kind of success. And the fact that he helped other young Artists, he inspired them to follow their dreams and become successful too. Great guide! There's many people who don't understand how much G-Dragon (and his members) going so much through. He was always different than other people. I understand why he said he feels so lonely. Even, if he has a many girlfriends. He doesn't have a soulmate and want to share his life to with someone who really understand him. I just love him so much and always wish the best for him Jiyong has a great passion for music and look talented since he was just 5 years old. How many children out there at that age you can see to be like him? That’s why he is indeed one of a kind in the industry. as a teenager i grew up, just when Kpop was getting more popular in the west. i loved bigbang and GD was and still is my favorite kpop idol. His music ,style & art has always intrigued me. I remember that in alot of his songs u could feel an underlying sadness and meaning, although i did not speak any Korean, i could still feel it in the music. I am almost 30 now and its good to see he has not stopped creating. He has worked so hard for everything that he deserves to be happy, all this harsh criticism, is completely uncalled for, and its sad to see. Hopefully he can find happiness, true happiness and perhaps be a bit more selfish and live life for himself.

i hate people critisizing him for who he is, he's also human being apart being idol and musician, even robots also made error. People always critisize out of jealousy, inferior complex. There's nothing wrong for being different because you are unique and shine differently. As international fan, i often wonder how he started his career and is it easy for him? But this channel showed me the reality, not everyday is a rainbow. Sometimes when you worked too hard, you realise you are missing out time. time for you, your friends, your family. Being lonely internally with having good life, tons of friends,fame doesnt give the satisfaction of fulfilling the loneliness. Internal loneliness give a sense of feeling that are not occupied when one needed most, could be one didnt recieve much affection or bond from their close one. Kwon ji yong & bigbang always make the best music regardless how many new artist debut.
I have discovered BIGBANG just a few month ago. Their themes and music videos felt so charismatic and edgy. And GD looked like a whole perfection person to me. Watching this video, made me so emotional. I never knew he got that much hate and criticism. People are just so overreactive and annoying. This man was just expressing himself with his art, but these haters are keep trying to take him down. They even invaded his private life like WHAT??! THEY are the real people who should be punished, not GD at all. GD is full of life and art. He deserves so much love and appreciation for his work. He is the KING of Kpop. I'm french, and I discovered Big-bang and GD few weeks ago with their comeback and new song. I must say this video made me learn a lot about this leader, thank you very much. Honestly in the past i tried to find out more about gd aside from the interviews and reality shows- since i always felt like he was playing a role on the screen and not really being himself, but i couldn't find anything because i dont know Korean. Something about his aura or smth really made me adore him, to me he seemed like a perfect person w almost no hardships in life. So this video really helped me understand him better and see clearer. Now i appreciate him even more that i did before (and thats pretty hard lol). Anyways i hope he is better now mentally and has learned to rest without feeling guilty and enjoy his art without the need of approval from others. Every now and then i remember Jonghyun (Shinee) and wonder how many others feel the same as he did, but are good at hiding it? I truly hope that (if those people exist) they will find balance in life and things that make them feel content if not happy. As a conclusion- thank you for this video, it was informative and impactful and brought some light to an important subject. You are appreciated!

There are a hundred things I want to say but none would help to lighten his burden. Only GD can do that. He may feel lonely but he should know that he is not alone. All over the world, he is loved. NOT for his flamboyance, NOT for his fame, NOT for his richness. But loved for being this human who enriched many, who brightened up many lives, who gave hope to many others in the Korean music industry and in life. TO Korean media, I just say GTH and I actually pity those reporters. They just use him as headlines to earn a living. Without roasting him, they probably couldn't make bread. @@shaafieza Yes. That's what puzzles me about Korean media. They are more negative than positive in their reporting, even when news are good, they will always have a BUT sentence in the middle. And the way their Kdramas and movies depict K-media, its always in a negative light. I tend to believe since both real and fiction are alike. I was a total die hard fan of Big Bang in my 20s. Life and adulthood got in the way so I’m no longer as fanatical… but this video just took me back to that time. GD is an amazing person and I hope he’s doing okay. One of the clips I remember seeing is him talking about how grateful he was for Taeyang as a friend, breaking down in tears as he tried to get the words out. I also loved the moments where he would burst out laughing because when he laughed his face would light up. Paired with all the songs he’s written, it struck me that this was an individual with a lot of emotions swirling inside of him, and he’s just trying to get through life like any of us. I really hope for his happiness and I hope he lives a long fulfilling life.

I cried so hard during his concert in Amsterdam,because i felt guilty an apologetic. I realised that while for any years he was being my source of strenght he didn't have anyone to Comfort him and was suffering so much. A few months later we Lost Jonghyun and,ever since all i want for GD is for him to be healthy and happy. Even of it means never releasing a song again. Four years ago, my dream was to see GD perform. I was thrilled when he announced his tour would go to Miami. I did not care how far I had to drive as long as I could watch him sing and dance. I was shocked. He had lost so much weight. His entire "being" was sadness. Watching him on stage I could actually "feel" it. I was stunned. I cried for him. As he sang he visibly showed how much pain he was in. I prayed that things would become more "normal" for him in the service. I actually wished he would give it all up and go into the fashion game he loved. The pressure, loneliness and depression have cost too many lives. I am praying he finds love, peace and happiness.

Wow… to think I knew BIGBANG as far back as 2009, and actually grew alongside them. I was only a teenager, just a typical fan who loved their songs, and look back at them with nostalgia. I’m grateful for the experience-that BIGBANG was a part of my teenagehood. Up till now I only knew that BIGBANG came from a survival show, and along the way they became the biggest group in Kpop during their prime, and that GD had become an icon, the King of Kpop essentially. But I never knew much about his own history. I knew of his struggles, but not in as much detail as this video tells us. This video is really informative as to how GD has become who he is today, and I have so much adoration for this man. I really hope he can find genuine happiness and feel loved, and not be lonely anymore. He deserves to feel loved, be loved, and to have love ❤️

I am Korean. GD was the most genius in Kpop history, the most colorful, and influenced Koreans the most. There is no one in Korea who can replace him. GD's influence on K-pop was enormous. After Big Bang, there was a junior idol rapper position, and an idol group that made their own songs. The k-pop idol light stick was first made by G-Dragon, and all men's fashion followed GD, and it was said that Korean fashion stopped after GD joined the army. He was always lonely and was cursed at at a young age. But Korea still needs his talent. I hope he can control his wounds and release the album again.

It feels like the favourite thing that these people love to do is to attack idols and any other people. It bothers me so much that they are THAT crowded. GD is just trying to make people have fun. He isn't just an idol, but also a litteral ARTİST who puts a lot of thoughts and efforts to his work.
There are people who attack idols and singers like that. Some artists like Avici commited suicide cause they couldn't handle this critique. The Kpop idol Goo-Hara also did the same thing for probably a similar reason (Idk much about her story)

His country will celebrate him, drop him again, then celebrate him again like a vicious cycle controlling relationship. Despite that, he will always love & have the biggest pride for his country even if they are not kind to him. He always made sure no matter how much he experiment with music, he doesn’t lose who he is as a Korean artist. This is why they are one of the few boy groups whose music is truly loved by the general pubic as proven by all their comebacks including 2022 Still Life. The love hate relationship Korea has with them needs to be studied. For now all I wish for him and the boys is his happiness and peace whether or not he makes new music. He released a video not so long ago and I was so happy to read that in the comments people weren't asking for him to come back instead they were all wanting him to be happy and healthy.

He's also human afterall, and he deserves to be happy and enjoy life on his own. As much as we want to be selfish of him, we have to let him go and let him find his own peace where no one can criticise him from being who he really is. At the age of 25, I had the opportunity to know Bigbang and GDragon, and their concert was my first ever. Looking back, I can hardly believe how fanatical I was about them. At that time, Bigbang and GD gave me a great deal of strength. As I grew older, I lost interest in being a fan. Today, I stumbled upon a video and it made me feel sad. Many people say he is fortunate, but maybe he is not. He stands on stage to receive the adoration of fans, but he is also swallowed up by immense loneliness. I hope that in the future, he can live the life he desires, do the things he wants to do, and find a soulmate who understands him.
There is no similar case in the kpop industry, there is no one like GD. He was born to shine, he´s a talented, confident and established artist and there is no doubt about his title of "king of kpop". I am REALLY not a person who cries like really never but those last minutes brought tears to my eyes. You said it all, we want him back but more importantly we want him happy. I went to see him live in Berlin in 2017 and he was incredibly amazing but he seemed very sad too, and even though it was one of the best days of my life, I still felt deeply sorry and sad for him. @@rainydays7027 I think he somehow lost himself because of his GD persona but being "the GDragon" can be tiring. His album Kwon Jiyong is his attempts to rediscover and introduce Kwon Jiyong, his real self, to the world.
Also in the song "Superstar" he mentions that he got everything now -everything that he only dreams of before - but it is still lonely at the top.
I suggest you watch his documentary Kwon Jiyong. Having their status and fame makes it harder to trust people...that's why he is more comfortable with people who have been there with them since the beginning -their stylist GeeUn, their hairstylist Taehyun, their choreographer, etc. His bubbly, childlike personality surfaces when he is with them. Also he feels the public scrutiny that's why in the documentary he talks about building a house where he can be secluded something like that.
I do feel the same way as the creator of this video...as much as I want BigBang to keep making and releasing music, I feel like it is a selfish wish. I am happy that they get to live a more normal life now and just hope that they can share the music they create to us if they want to.

G-Dragon was the reason I discovered kpop. His song One of a Kind was the first ever kpop song I ever heard. I became a fan instantly. Then I discovered he was in a group BigBang. I became their fan instantly lol. I remember alot of the hate GD would constantly get. It was unreasonable, so unfair, and I felt so bad for him. I was getting a little teary eyed because I remembered some of the interviews and appearances he did where he looked so defeated. It was heartbreaking. I sincerely hope he is doing better these days though. I hope he is putting himself first above all else now.

The very first time I heard about GDRAGON’s name was during year 2013, I knew TOP’s first before Ji. I don’t know anything about him only the fact that he’s really famous. His name has a great and powerful impact, I respect him from the beginning eventhough I don’t know anything much about him. I just give him my Highest Respect. Then during 2015-2016 when I became a Fan of my other stan group ( EXO ), I listened to BIGBANG songs. I started checking the FIVE members only that time I found out that GDRAGON was a member and leader of BIGBANG. I have a huge interest about Jiyong not because of his Fame but because of the songs that he wrote. I really admires his gift of songwriting, that’s when I found out many things about him. That his life, even though he’s really famous, always in the spotlight, many people knows him and BIGBANG.
Despite all of this, behind the camera, behind the light, He is lonely. I felt really sad especially when other people says lots of negative things against him. Like yeah, you just know GDRAGON’s name but you don’t really know anything about him, about his life, about his pasts. He attained the level of success because he is hardworking, he has a dream to pursue and he never stop working, he never stop dreaming all his life. The success that he has right now, all of this achievements, that’s from his Sweat and Tears. He deserves that kind of success. And the fact that he helped other young Artists, he inspired them to follow their dreams and become successful too. Despite his fame, He remains so Respectful and Humble towards his Seniors and even to his Hoobae’s. He is well known for his 90 degree bow. Really, I didn’t find anyone like Jiyong. A True Leader by heart, his fighting spirit, his mindset, his strong characteristics, his personality, he is a Music Genius. I admire him so much and I have this kind of High Respect towards Jiyong all the time, he is really indeed a Superstar! He is super humble and respectful, he is grounded, he knows how to appreciate and be grateful at all times. Jiyong is really an epitome of a real Superstar, an Outstanding Artist, a Legend, no one will ever forget his name.
Being a Superstar means you have to carry Humility within yourself, that’s when you can call yourself a Real Superstar. And Jiyong really has that kind of attitude. Great guide! There's many people who don't understand how much G-Dragon (and his members) going so much through. He was always different than other people. I understand why he said he feels so lonely. Even, if he has a many girlfriends. He doesn't have a soulmate and want to share his life to with someone who really understand him. Jiyong has a great passion for music and look talented since he was just 5 years old. How many children out there at that age you can see to be like him? That’s why he is indeed one of a kind in the industry. Even through many hardships he is still going on and be one of the monuments of kpop for a reason. as a teenager i grew up, just when Kpop was getting more popular in the west. i loved bigbang and GD was and still is my favorite kpop idol. His music ,style & art has always intrigued me. I remember that in alot of his songs u could feel an underlying sadness and meaning, although i did not speak any Korean, i could still feel it in the music. I am almost 30 now and its good to see he has not stopped creating. He has worked so hard for everything that he deserves to be happy, all this harsh criticism, is completely uncalled for, and its sad to see. Hopefully he can find happiness, true happiness and perhaps be a bit more selfish and live life for himself.

I have discovered BIGBANG just a few month ago. Their themes and music videos felt so charismatic and edgy. And GD looked like a whole perfection person to me. Watching this video, made me so emotional. I never knew he got that much hate and criticism. People are just so overreactive and annoying. This man was just expressing himself with his art, but these haters are keep trying to take him down. They even invaded his private life like WHAT??! THEY are the real people who should be punished, not GD at all.
GD is full of life and art. He deserves so much love and appreciation for his work. He is the KING of Kpop. His true fans will push the toxic people away from him. Rather if he will keep making music or not, he deserves to be happy. We love you Jiyong❤️❤️

Honestly in the past i tried to find out more about gd aside from the interviews and reality shows- since i always felt like he was playing a role on the screen and not really being himself, but i couldn't find anything because i dont know Korean. Something about his aura or smth really made me adore him, to me he seemed like a perfect person w almost no hardships in life. So this video really helped me understand him better and see clearer. Now i appreciate him even more that i did before (and thats pretty hard lol). Anyways i hope he is better now mentally and has learned to rest without feeling guilty and enjoy his art without the need of approval from others. Every now and then i remember Jonghyun (Shinee) and wonder how many others feel the same as he did, but are good at hiding it? I truly hope that (if those people exist) they will find balance in life and things that make them feel content if not happy. As a conclusion- thank you for this video, it was informative and impactful and brought some light to an important subject. You are appreciated!

there is a song by him called "a boy"... what he most admired about GD was his self-confidence and in that song he says that his most powerful weapon was his self-confidence, it's a very nice song I think that he did when he was 21 years old... There is also another one that I like and talks about everything that the press did to him: "gossip man"... I'm not a fan of bigbang but I like GD (also taeyang) since I met kpop in 2012

King GD who's so multi-talented, hv irreplaceable unique stage charisma, created blueprint for Kpop, open its pave to the World, n have been so extremely hardworking n suffered so much pressure during his career path, he truly deserves standing ovation n loves from everyone! There are a hundred things I want to say but none would help to lighten his burden. Only GD can do that. He may feel lonely but he should know that he is not alone. All over the world, he is loved. NOT for his flamboyance, NOT for his fame, NOT for his richness. But loved for being this human who enriched many, who brightened up many lives, who gave hope to many others in the Korean music industry and in life. TO Korean media, I just say GTH and I actually pity those reporters. They just use him as headlines to earn a living. Without roasting him, they probably couldn't make bread. And those chaebols probably lost their caste system to him

I'm intl fan and I just couldn't understand why these medias have to play around with negative issues instead of there are plenty of good works n contributions he made for Korean industry. @@shaafieza Yes. That's what puzzles me about Korean media. They are more negative than positive in their reporting, even when news are good, they will always have a BUT sentence in the middle. And the way their Kdramas and movies depict K-media, its always in a negative light. I tend to believe since both real and fiction are alike. I wonder if its because Koreans can't speak proper English and so the media is also very limited in thinking
So very sad to realise how much loneliness and suffering GD has gone through. How is it that so many people are able to attack someone online without consequences. I was a total die hard fan of Big Bang in my 20s. Life and adulthood got in the way so I’m no longer as fanatical… but this video just took me back to that time. GD is an amazing person and I hope he’s doing okay. One of the clips I remember seeing is him talking about how grateful he was for Taeyang as a friend, breaking down in tears as he tried to get the words out. I also loved the moments where he would burst out laughing because when he laughed his face would light up. Paired with all the songs he’s written, it struck me that this was an individual with a lot of emotions swirling inside of him, and he’s just trying to get through life like any of us.
I really hope for his happiness and I hope he lives a long fulfilling life.
Even though I knew everything mentioned in this video I found myself watching it till the end, and every time I get amazed by jiyong just like the first time, he’s such a great person i wish him eternal happiness❤️

this made me cry. i’ve always had so much love and respect for GD 🥹 and i knew he was often involved in scandals back then, but i didn’t know it was this serious that everyone “criticized him even for breathing” since i wasn’t active on social medial/ internet yet plus GD always managed to come back stronger 🤧 i hope he got to rest and rekindle with his love for music and life in general. will patiently wait for his/ bigbang’s comeback 🫂 we love you, GD!
My heart aches learning GD's journey, it's never easy for him even he's a naturally very talented human being, he's a self-made star, he really worked the hardest way since then but he still received a lot of negative criticisms, invasion of privacy, and unreasonable hatred from strangers who really didn't know him personally. 🤧 GD is so strong despite all of those bad things he went through. GD truly deserves inner peace and true happiness. Keep going GD! We're rooting for you to be happy and live in peace, forget about the concerts and fame, what's important is your health. But if you still wanna perform, we're still here to support you. Hopefully you're stronger than before, ignore the negative criticisms, you know yourself well more than anyone else.
I love GD so much, after watching this I love him even more. he's a really talented musician, really amazing, his life is amazing. I cried while watching this, I feel sad. why do they hate him, at least if they don't like him don't say bad words to him, after all he is only human who can feel pain. I cried so hard during his concert in Amsterdam,because i felt guilty an apologetic. I realised that while for any years he was being my source of strenght he didn't have anyone to Comfort him and was suffering so much.
A few months later we Lost Jonghyun and,ever since all i want for GD is for him to be healthy and happy. Even of it means never releasing a song again. I love him and im thankful for what he is in my life
Four years ago, my dream was to see GD perform. I was thrilled when he announced his tour would go to Miami. I did not care how far I had to drive as long as I could watch him sing and dance. I was shocked. He had lost so much weight. His entire "being" was sadness. Watching him on stage I could actually "feel" it. I was stunned. I cried for him. As he sang he visibly showed how much pain he was in. I prayed that things would become more "normal" for him in the service. I actually wished he would give it all up and go into the fashion game he loved. The pressure, loneliness and depression have cost too many lives. I am praying he finds love, peace and happiness.
Regretting not knowing K pop at the Time he debuted. I wish I could have been there for him.

Wow… to think I knew BIGBANG as far back as 2009, and actually grew alongside them. I was only a teenager, just a typical fan who loved their songs, and look back at them with nostalgia. I’m grateful for the experience-that BIGBANG was a part of my teenagehood. Up till now I only knew that BIGBANG came from a survival show, and along the way they became the biggest group in Kpop during their prime, and that GD had become an icon, the King of Kpop essentially. But I never knew much about his own history. I knew of his struggles, but not in as much detail as this video tells us. This video is really informative as to how GD has become who he is today, and I have so much adoration for this man. I really hope he can find genuine happiness and feel loved, and not be lonely anymore. He deserves to feel loved, be loved, and to have love ❤️
