For me, it doesn't seem to need much of one, on the ability side. Maybe a swing- counter readout per target meter, or a little audio voice, to say "Hi" or "Nope" or "Dunno"?😉.
Nokta Double Score is clearly the best detector at 450.00 price range. The quality of the fit and finish is even better than other 1000 dollar detectors. But it works amazingly too. It’s so quiet in saltwater.
That is pretty incredible to be honest. You had to play with all the settings on the manticore the Deus and the legend to be able to hit those last three and this one just walks right up and hits all of them. I hope you did the double score going through your test garden and maybe a depth comparison with The legend as that would be something I'd really want to see.
Ha! You noticed that too from my other videos with these blocks Steve. You are exactly right. Each machine (no BS) even the D2, Legend and Manti needed some tweaking to hit level 4 blocks. Not sure whats going on under the hood of the Double Score but it did really good. It only has 3 levels of recovery speed and 9 levels of iron filter. Its simplified now 0-9 instead of the Legends IF and ST. I was a little concerned thinking that level 0 would false allot on nails (by how well it did on this test) but i have hunted with it a few times now and even 0 does ok on old homesites.
So I can spend $509 on a new legend right now and get headphones free till the end of the year or I could spend $449 and get a double score with no headphones. So the double score with headphones would be well over what you would pay for a new legend with headphones. I definitely need to see more tests on this machinery as something doesn't make a lot of sense.
Thing is with Nokta you do not have to buy their proprietary headphones unlike Mindlab, so technically you couls buy any low latency aptx headphones or earbuds substantially cheaper than the Nokta ones. That being said the Legend is still a more advanced machine and at $509 with the Headphones it's a steal.@@stevewaters2974
Yea, it currently does not have any tone features or an iron volume so its set the way it is. Both are simple turn on and go but the Double has some great performance having the adjustable recovery and IF.
Great showing of a good tool Mike. I'd like it if you could lay your hands on a really highly mineralised brick or two sometime perhaps. One that sends the FPulse 'skitting' before pre-balance (you know), and maybe show the abilities, or lack of, of some machines at hitting on small silver/ small copper/bronze under the brick/s. Last tool I owned, that "owned" that discipline, was a Tejon; with any coil on! Finding in hm dirt with a splittering of nails about the place sorts the 'Happy Shopper' tool from the Leatherman. I like those dogs: real dogs..closer to the wolf. No swagger or bs, just real dogs👍.
Thanks Tim, ill see what i can get. The huskies are fun. They have funny personalities both are brats that even though they love us if they were not on there line would be in another zip code in 10 mins. 😆 they love to run and are escape artists.
Hey Lizz, i have messed with it already. The iron filter is like locked on it like the Simplex and it does not have an adjustable recovery speed so you are not going to get this separation performance from it. Depth in clean ground is pretty much the same unless you lower the recovery on the Double Score then you will get a little more.
Yes, same principle. Minelab has built into theres the ability to knock out large iron as well within there FE range on the 700/900. F2 on the 600/800. On the Legend you can do this by using the Bottle cap function.
Yea! All machines will do it its just how much. This one is handling these well by dropping into the 30’s being its only a 60 vdi machine. I struggle with my D2 on these tests because it plummets the ID to a 7-8.
Allot more options with the legend, you have tone options, more room with recovery speed and Iron filters. These will all benefit performance. Its a good machine and a good performer but its also very simple. Allot more room to advance with the Legend.
Wow, I'd take that out on a colonial homesite as is ....... thanks Mike! I'll be out next 3 days pushing hard, just need one more shoe buckle to break my personal best.
Good test, did you say that it only has 15khz for a single frequency option? That's a big difference to the legend. I only say this because it doesn't look from the comments that anyone took note of this.
So if you already have the Legend it’s still the better machine, correct?? I mean if it was like $299 I’d sell my Simplex & buy it. I got all the coils for the simplex so I may be able to sell everything separate & get close. I just can’t see myself giving up the Legend & I got a lot of money invested in the coils, carbon shafts new arm cuff etc…. I was lucky enough that Calabash gave me his Legend! I added it up the other day and have almost 300 hours on it.
Legend has the features. Allot more features and tone options with the Legend. This does not have any tone options currently.. If you like simple, performance wise this is right there with it.
You like the FerroCheck? Some do like it allot and use it as a tool but I hunt allot of woods, farms, old homesites and even good non ferrous targets give an iron reading on the FerroCheck. iron everywhere mixed in make the FerroCheck bounce but thats how I know I’m in the right place. 👍
The Double Score Vs Legend will come down to the single frequencies and all other options that the Legend is packed with. The Double Score has the same depth and separation (in multi) as far as i can see. Its missing allot of the Legend options but the performance is right there.
@@IffySignalsThe Legend has higher single frequencies which are better for small gold targets and nuggets. 20 and 40 KHz is better than the 15 of the double score. The Legend has the gold program running at 40 Khz . Think the vanquish also ran higher frequencies but we're never water resistant ( mine flooded).
Informed today that the Score has an update coming. Not sure yet what it entails. My machine at this time does not have it installed.
For me, it doesn't seem to need much of one, on the ability side. Maybe a swing- counter readout per target meter, or a little audio voice, to say "Hi" or "Nope" or "Dunno"?😉.
Thanks for the info Iffy !!! 👍😊

Great machine for $450. 10 years ago it would have prob cost $700-800. The AT Pro is still $550 😆
Looks pretty impressive! Thanks for testing, buddy👍
Welcome NC

Nice review. Love the advanced machines coming out for very affordable prices these days!
Thanks! Definitely 👍
Thanks for posting that very interesting so far so good.thanks.
Thanks Fred!
That’s impressive buddy , no messing around , might be different when on hard ground having the more tunability of the more advanced detectors
Yea, it currently does not have any tone features or an iron volume so its set the way it is. Both are simple turn on and go but the Double has some great performance having the adjustable recovery and IF.
Nokta is building some interesting machines now!!
Yea Jerry!
Would love to see this in your test garden Iffy!!
Will do Tim
Thanks Iffy!! I sure appreciate it!
That would make myself a great Christmas gift!! 😂😂
Merry Christmas

Nice results. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great video IFFY !!! Will you be testing the SCORE at all ?

Hi what would be your settings on the double score thanks
Park M2, IF 2 recovery set to your site. Lower for more depth, higher for better unmasking in trashy sites.
Great separation, nice
Thank you.
Question: Nokta's iron filter is something like Minelab's iron bias?
Yes, same principle. Minelab has built into theres the ability to knock out large iron as well within there FE range on the 700/900. F2 on the 600/800. On the Legend you can do this by using the Bottle cap function.
hello, i will buy for my grandson a new detector a Nokta double score or a equinox 600 ...witch one to buy ? and why regards francois
Not the Double, it has minimal features to grow. Look at the ML Elite, Nokta Triple Score or ML 700.
when will they change the handle holder brush hurts narrow small uncomfortable
The arm cuff?
Thanks for sharing!!!!!
Welcome Charlie!
Impressive. I noticed that the coins rang up like 31 to 33 that must be because the iron is downing the vdi?
Yea! All machines will do it its just how much. This one is handling these well by dropping into the 30’s being its only a 60 vdi machine. I struggle with my D2 on these tests because it plummets the ID to a 7-8.
@@IffySignals I remember the test with the D2. Man so many detectors New Flooded the Market. I do not know how you keep up with them ..
Forget the numbers. Use your ears. Once numbers drop out...........use your ears. Look away from the screen. Tone values are King.
Ciao, quali sono le differenze di prestazioni con il legend ?
Allot more options with the legend, you have tone options, more room with recovery speed and Iron filters. These will all benefit performance. Its a good machine and a good performer but its also very simple. Allot more room to advance with the Legend.
It’s what I was expecting. These boys and girls don’t sit still, they keep moving. I just hope it’s a lot lighter than the Legend.
I think its the same weight or very close if you have the new carbon fiber Legend.
Wow, I'd take that out on a colonial homesite as is ....... thanks Mike! I'll be out next 3 days pushing hard, just need one more shoe buckle to break my personal best.
Good luck Jay!!
K-9 was impressed
Thanks
Отличный обзор брат🤗🔥👍👍👍
Thanks
How does this detector compares to the legend?
Performance is there but allot more tone options with the Legend. You do not have any tone options with the Double Score.
I think I am gonna go with this machine over the xterra pro and the simplex ultra.
Definitely a good machine, lets hope for an update with some tone options or at least an iron volume.
What's the price point of these detectors?
$379 for the Score and $425 for the Double Score. Without Headphones.
@@IffySignals thanks

Yes, it only has 15 as a single selectable freq.

Hahahaha! He is so used to the beeping it does not even wake him anymore.

I love your Dog. 😊😊😊😴😴😴😴😴😴😪

The Double score shot the Dog 😅
Haha! He’s sick of the beeping.
Interesting vs legend

He sure doesn’t.
Iron Settings look impressive
Could be like vansquish vs equinox
That the vanquish was a better beach machine
With better iron filtering
