Thanks for this! I have a bunch of holiday video that's short clips (30s to 2m) that I want join together in an attractive way, with transitions and caption text for the clip. This kind of simple, easy to follow tutorial is pitched perfectly to get me well on the way to doing that. 🙏🏻
It is a wonderful video with very good explanation of transition effects in Shotcut. I specifically liked performing custom transitions using Luma files.
This is how I work in Programs I use, and I'm very appreciative of your method and the way you demonstrated it, you have saved me a great deal of time. For real, Hands down, I'm making videos in 2022 using Shotcut and newer software's in late 2022, and this is really helpful. Not only the pace of your tutorial, but also the information you provided, in the form of OBS Studio (I'm Also Using), Luma_wipes with filers. Thank you

If I have lyrics of a song (in text form) being displayed at the bottom part of video while the song is playing, I want to know how to create a small ball kind of an image which rolls on top of each word of the lyrics synchronously with the lip movement in the song. This will be useful if I make karaoke track so that someone will know which word comes next based on this ball movement and sing in tandem. Hope I have explained it clearly. Can you please let me know how to achieve this? Thanks!

I am trying to use the same font , color, and size throughout my videos .However, the text size always changes depending on the number of characters in the text, regardless of specifying font size . Any advice?

Hi, go to Open Other > colour, click OK, then drag the black preview screen down to the timeline. A transparent clip is created.
