Hey buddy, nice video. I liked seeing the nestmate of bird I got from you. I can't wait to breed him and see how they do in some OLR. Good luck and stay warm.
As a guy that wants to get into racing pigeons I really appreciate your videos, I raise Qaib Thai also and going to get a pair in the future, saving up because I know just like the Qaib game that money buys qualities and can’t cheap out on birds.
Thanks bro. This is my 7 mouth into the pigeon racing. I’m all way worry about my pigeon went am at work cause at night the temp drop down to 20 degree.I’m still learning and still looking for a good flyer. I been buying a lot of birds. If you have to much breeder that you think you have to many of them. I be happy to buy it of from you.
Your welcome! And thank you for watching! Hopefully this video helps a little bit. I do have a lot of extra breeding cocks that I need to rehome due to space. Email me at chuchewy31@gmail.com
Thanks for sharing! What is your thought process behind combining the Des Moines Premium 22 and Versele-Laga Champion? What does one have that the other doesn't? New flyer here, looking for a solid feed to go with!
How’s it going!!! The reason behind me mixing both the feed mix is to give my pigeons a variety of seeds. The Champion Mix has some pellets in it that P22 doesn’t have. I would recommend both feed mix. At the end of the day, it’s ultimately depends on your budget. I would recommend P22 because it’s cheap and comes in 50lbs bags. I recommend VL Champion Mix because it’s a very clean mix with pellets in it.
Thanks for the vlog Cha! Any tips for breeding during the winter? All my babies keep dying and I'm wondering if its due to the cold here in California.
How you doing my friend! And no problem! I told many fanciers that pigeons can breed and survive the MN cold and mine has no issues. CA winter is nothing compared to MN winter. Lol!!! The real tip for having a successful winter breeding is like I mentioned in the video. “As long as the breeders got access to feed and water, they’ll be fine”. And of course, as long as they’re healthy too.
HI, they are looking well, and I think that is a good winter mix. I hear some flyers say, you have got to thin them down for pairing up. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. Then what do they put them on to thin them down, barley, BARLEY A FAT. A grain that is practically worthless . My Pigeons had the best all year round. I never had trouble with fat hens not laying. I bet you have no trouble either. Fat women have babies just as good as thin ones. GREAT VIDEO 👍

@@juliosdiy3206 yessir!!! I agree! My buddy built my previous ones for probably less than $5 each setup! Those big, cookie tin cans, lightbulb, lightbulb fitting and electrical source, and glue.
I’m doing well my friend! If you want to participate in the Rock Creek OLR for next year, check out their website. I included their website in my description.
I use the same measuring cup (4 cups or 1 quart measuring cup) in the video to measure for my breeders. I give almost a full scoop of that measuring cup (almost 4 cups) for the hens section and I give a scoop and a half (6 cups) to the cock section. I have more cocks than hens in the loft.
Nope. During the off season, I feed them once a day. Cock section gets 1 full scoop and 1/2 scoop and the hens get 1 full scoop. These serving sizes are enough for the pigeons for the day. By the time I feed them next the following day, there should be little to nothing leftover in the feeders.
Beautiful pigeons!!
Hello bud really nice..,winter is coming..
Thank you my friend!! Yes it is!

No, he doesn’t yet. I did include his email and Instagram in my description.

Should be fun!!
Birds look great man!! How much are you feeding?

How is Turkon bred?
His sire side is down from Sam Haslem’s inbred “Turk” family and the dam side is inbred “Ikon”.
You free feed the breeders??
Nope. During the off season, I feed them once a day. Cock section gets 1 full scoop and 1/2 scoop and the hens get 1 full scoop. These serving sizes are enough for the pigeons for the day. By the time I feed them next the following day, there should be little to nothing leftover in the feeders.
