  • Finally got around to adding some hydraulic pressure shims to my Kubota B3350 tractor in order to increase my lift capacity. This procedure works both on the loader lift capacity as well as the 3 point lift capacity. I took the tire off for my install but I would highly recommend doing this upgrade with the tire on. So if you want to increase your tractors loader lift capacity, pick yourself up some of these shims and go home smiling!

    I did to my L2501 and made a big difference with pressures around 2600 psi. I don’t always you max lift pressures but when I do it’s nice to have!

    Hi, what about the lines and the cylinders ?What are they rated at and can they handle the extra pressure?

      I would say, in the long run, it would probably wear on the system faster.... but as to date I have not had any issues.

    The hydraulic pressure on these seem to vary a good bit from factory. I've never tested my b2601 with a pressure guage but the loader hydraulics will lift more than the chassis can handle, even with the 600lb tiller on the back it will easily put the tractor up on two wheels on my "test boulder"

    • @AmateurAtBest

      Yeah I think whoever put this tractor together at the factory goofed up on mine.

    We have a 3200 series that is supposed to lift 1200 lbs but only likes about 700 or so. Might look into this. We bought a 3K forklift but still use the Kubota for the majority of our lifting.

    Did you buy those shims from a kubota dealer or aftermarket?

    I have a B2601…. Yet my rear rims are different and I have wheel studs like a car/truck. Just wondering if I missed something that you covered in a older video or is your tractor older than mine?

    • @AmateurAtBest
      @AmateurAtBest  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not too sure, my tractor is a 2017-2018ish. The hub and bolt style may be due to the size of the wheel and tire. Mine has the optional larger wheel package.

    I just have two questions if you needed more lift capacity why didn't you go with a bigger tractor.?... second question by doing this do you void your warranty?

    • @AmateurAtBest
      @AmateurAtBest  2 роки тому +4

      Ideally you would want a bigger tractor. However, I don't have the space for a bigger tractor nor do I have the cash. As far as the warranty, I'm not sure if it would void it. I don't think there is any way for them to prove you added more shims. From what I understand, not every tractor comes with the same amount of shims.

    if you lift one on the back forks,then you will have the ballast to lift one safely with teh front end loader,i would think.thats what alot of farmers do if lift one round bale on the back spear,then they can lift one out front no problem.

    • @AmateurAtBest
      @AmateurAtBest  3 роки тому +1

      I'm going to have to try that! Thank you. Hopefully my front axle will hold up! lol

    • @derekwirth2162

      @@AmateurAtBest gonna have to say it's a lot of extra added stress on the front wheel bearing. Chances are you won't know your front axle doesn't like it until your front portals are filled with shrapnel. I replaced wheel bearings on a larger Kubota /L3010 to be exact because top seals we're leaking due to dirt/age and found broken bearings when doing so. Not a pretty sight. Luckily they are trapped in the housing so pieces take longer to make their way out. I got them replaced before they got to bad. If you notice a problem driving it though it's already too late and damage is done. Just my 2cents. Maybe just stick to moving stuff with back forks one at a time. That's what I'd do if it was my tractor and a larger tractor isn't an option for many reasons.

    Can you provide a link to the metal cages you use with your pallets to transport firewood? How are they attached?

    • @AmateurAtBest
      @AmateurAtBest  2 роки тому +1

      The IBC cages? I buy them used from a local mulch manufacturer. I'm not sure I understand your question on how they're attached though.

    • @steveskurow3000
      @steveskurow3000 2 роки тому +1

      @@AmateurAtBest I see now that they are one piece. When I saw them in the video, I thought they were a cage that needed to be attached to a wooden pallet

    • @AmateurAtBest
      @AmateurAtBest  Рік тому +1

      They are all in one. Depending on the manufacturer, some have a metal bottom and other have a plastic. Either way they have the fork slots built in.

  • @rodgerneeb301

    The reason your loader seems tippy is a lack of ballast weight in back, as soon as you pick up a tote with your 3 point, that issue is resolved, now you can move 2 totes simultaneously.

    Can adding that much pressure cause failures within the system ?
    Also do other tractors have the same way to boost the pressure ?

    • @AmateurAtBest
      @AmateurAtBest  2 роки тому

      It's possible if you go to high, for sure. I think a lot of the tractors in this class probably have a similar way of adjusting the pressure.

    IF U NEVER have to take tires to r fix a flat , or any thing else when th tire or the rim , / U WILLHAVE to buy u another tire or rim or both > because beet juice or any other kind of JIUCE FOR BALLAST / will be sticking to the tire or the rim , WANT BE ANY GOOD !
    USE YOUR IMPLEMENT FOR BALLAST FOR YOUR TRACTOR ONLY , THIS WAY U WILL BE SAVING ALOT OF MONEY
