Then extract the .rar file.
Open EOSinfo.exe and connect your Canon DSLR camera in your PC with cable and power ON the camera.

Maybe your camera isn't supported or you forgot to turn of wifi before connecting.

Do you know how to find the shutter count on the Canon 90D too...as I just bought it refurbished and would like to know what the shutter count is. This software doesn't work for the 90D, but it did work for my 70D...thanks!

I think I just found a way on the Canon 90D. Go into the playback button to view a photo you've taken. Hit the 'Info' button. Mine shows 100-0095. I'm not sure what the 100 represents but the last number [95] does increase every time I take a shot.

Make sure you press Option > Right-click on the installer (because it is from an unrecognized publisher)

The PC App didn't work on my Mac even when I used it using VMWare. It does work fine on my PC laptop.
The Mac App displays the model of your camera (Canon EOS REBEL T4i), and the Shutter count: (57141)
The Windows app doesn't show your model number like the Mac one does, but it does show the copyright and owner name info, serial number, shutter count. The Mac version only shows the model info and shutter count.

i had no luck i extracted the files even tried a couple diffrent times keeps saying not found try to reinstall.

Me too. I have a HP not a MAC and I dont know if that makes a difference. I tried Google, Explorer, Safari...nothing worked but the funny thing is, it downloaded on my phone! But,after that is where the rest doesn't work.
Thanks, it worked on my 6D eventually - Must remember to DISABLE WIFI otherwise the camera data port is disabled.

Didn't work for my 60D. Got to the part where you plug in and turn on the camera and it didn't go any further.
It is better to do this using the Tornado EOS program
Getting an error on trying to install, tells me the EDSK.dll file is not found/missing. aWindows 10, any ideas?

A few online website told me that my shutter count was over 90K or something when I've not used my camera that much. Anyways appreciate you making this video...

Doesn't work on the 5D Mark IV. Read the instructions, watched this video it simply doesn't work. I never get any information about the camera at all. Don't waste your time if you have a 5D.

Doesn't work with the newer 80D and 90D cameras, sadly. Wish the author would update the app.
It didn't work at first, but I disabled the Wifi and it connected! Might want to add that info somewhere as I got that info from another UA-cam video...

Don't waste your time with these free apps - my time searching and ..trying to install them cost more than the $5 bucks I finally paid at Apple store with their shutter count app (THAT WORKS) - my new 6D an 80D worked right away. The cheap end up expensive.

Update: I connected my Canon 60D and it worked. I wont work for Canon 7D Mark ii.
Yeah, didnt work for me. trying it on a 7D mark ii.. downloaded everything that needed to be downloaded. Comes up just like on the video, my camera just keeps blinking and the camera info never appears on the shutter menu I downloaded.

I can't believe that you can't find the shutter count in the body menu and you have to do all this just to see a fuckin number!!!!
To work on windows 10 you need to install this driver and then the software will work: libusb-win32 (v1.2.6.0)

I don't know if it works, however, when I put it through Virus Total it said it had malware along with the program. Be careful.
You forget to mention that FIRST you virus scan the rar, then you proceed. Never just go forward with unknown software.

Worked for my 1D Mark IV. I got it from KEH, 91,891 its high but this camera is rated for 300k.

This isn't working for me on my Mac. Used "Unarchiver" to extract, then couldn't open the .exe file

I have a Canon 6D. Didn't work for me today. I get an error message.
I see the 4 items listed. I dbl click on the EOSInfo.exe file. The get this error message - "The code execution cannot proceed because EdSDK.DLL was not fond. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem."
Any ideas how to fix?

Thanks, shutter count 11,156. Bought T5i used. I've been using this camera everyday this summer, shooting one to two hours. Camera must have hardly been used. Great resource when selling, as people want to know how many rounds are on it.

Depends on models, but manufacturers usually garanty 100-200K actuations. Some users have reported having reached 1M w/o replacing. 9K is effectively brand new.
hmm not working with my 5d mark iii, i turn the camera on with usb, program doesnt do anything.
unfortunately it didn't work for me . spent an hour trying to open it . just kept directing me to other sites telling me to try this or that.

It worked on my 70d, even if it gave me a ridiculously low number of shutter actuations. Since I have to sell it I hope it's a faithful count and that I won't have the guy who purchase it whit a shotgun behind my door next week :))

Just bought a Canon EOS 70d off eBay And will be buying cable even before it arrives so I can download and check it out. Will definitely leave a review and a ration for cannon for not including it in the built-in functions then. But already gave a like because this guy is informative and well-spoken. And can't understand who would dislike this video unless jealous of his camera not being theirs. Should have to leave a reason before being able to just simply be negative. Hint-Hint UA-cam.

Right I recently got a photography buzz, I bought a 450D for cheap, and decided I like photography, it's got a 7000 shutter count a week later I bought a 7D fantastic camera it has a 4000 shutter count. I'll be keeping the 7D, then there was a great deal on some sigma macro lenses, they came with a 30D now the 30D looks tbe newest its even got the original cardboard label attached looks like it hasn't been used, anyway it says shutter count unavailable, can anyone help please?
