As a nurse, I can definitely say we appreciate when a medical student, resident, doctor, mid-level, etc. helps us out with certain tasks when we’re busy. Keep up the good work and continue to establish and encourage interdisciplinary healthcare for the betterment of our patients. We are important but we are nothing without our patients!
I truly respect your honesty and your mature outlook on the med school journey. It's so easy to make everything sound like a dream and show all the exciting moments, but its very honorable to show the moments that are more human. Congrats on how far you've come and I can't wait to keep on following along.
I commend you on recognizing that not all days are peachy. That while being in the medical field has it rewards there are days where you get to point where you want to be anywhere but at the hospital and it doesn’t help when you don’t have that support or you feel you are unprepared. But you are strong. You are smart. And you will be successful because you of your desire. And that desire is always good. Keep working at it and never give up. You are an inspiration for people of color as medical students in healthcare. We, especially as black women, in healthcare have to work harder but we are better for it because we are survivalists.
DeAnna, THIS! Everything you just said resonates to my core. I do this so I can be a representation that all things are possible. It will not always be easy, and we certainly fail at times, but we as Black women making it to this point is important and necessary. So I will never give up. And I will continue to pass the ladder down for those coming up behind me!
Just finding your channel and subscribed right away…I am also a medical student but on family medicine rotation right now and I totally enjoyed watching your vlog…yes it’s always good to assist the nurses in any way we can ❤️❤️ hope to see more amazing contents
Hey, don’t be hard on yourself. You didn’t fail! Some aspects are challenging, and you only learn from them. Truthfully, I’m glad you’re speaking on it because it highlights the obstacles of medical school. You can do it, you have a big support system behind you and I wish you the best. I’m catching up on videos now, I know I’m a little late
I LOVE your channel!!!! I’m going into pre med and girl it is so nice to see that you CAN make it. You just have to work your damn hardest to get there. You encourage me so much. Thank youuuuu
Your videos have helped me so so much getting through studying for the MCAT and pushing through those bad days to keep on chugging along and bounce back stronger 💜
Thank you for the encouragement. I had a long week of clinicals and I just felt discouraged. I know next week is a new week and I can do better and have a better week 😊
Your very important ❤️ keep shining! As I watch u I watch ur love for your patients and the medical field lacks that. Thank you, and remember even on days your not yourself and might not give the best service it’s ok, take time for yourself.
I am too medico and I felt very emotional when you cried. I absolutely understand your felling of being unprepared for situations. I respect you and it’s fine because you are learning everyday as an intern. you are taking it serious and I believe in You.Uwill be a successful doctor. lots of ❤️
Thank you so much! It was important for me to show that not all days are happy and smooth, that there are plenty of days where we feel down, unprepared, or inadequate. But we get back up and keep going because we want to learn and be better!
Syncope is fainting, it can happen with a sudden drop in blood pressure. Your blood pressure can drop just from sitting up too quickly or standing too quickly. I want to go into internal medicine as well, I start premed in a few months. I can't wait to be where you are.

You're literally such an aspiration. You make me excited to start my first year of med school in September.
You got this! First year is the toughest, as far as adjusting but it's going to fly by 😊

Don't let that bad day get you down. Just learn from it. I had a bad day today. I have a family member in the hospital with a lot of medical issues.
Thank you, Garret! 🙏🏽
It is ok. You have learned so much in the past 3 years so the little stuff can get stuffed away.
Exactly! There will be those moments and days. We have to give ourselves grace.
