Di2, carbon wheels, aero frame, 8kg-ish, and the fact Trek moved away from BB90 makes this an incredible deal. I got a feeling I'd easily be able to maintain over 40km per hour on the flats easier compared to my old Emonda SLR.

I brought the SLR version and i got it down to 16.6 lbs using TPU inner tubes..the bike is quick, holds speed, and is very comfortable..i just got rid of my 2022 tarmac sl7 s-works because it would beat me up after just 40miles..the madone is much more comfortable and still fast...i used to be a specialized fan boy but nowadays i have no loyalty to these brands..lol

This bike and channel are for enthusiasts. If you enjoy cycling and spend hours a week on a road bike, you are probably willing to spend some money on a nicer bike than the casual rider.
With that being said, this is an incredible price for a bike of this caliber. This review was great and informative for the viewer.
On another note, I would like to add the all-new Trek Madone, SL 7 with Ultegra Di2 and a mid-size crank for $6500 US (the SL 6 is $5500 US). This is actually a better deal than the SL 6... That is if you are an enthusiast. 😊

Nice. I have it ordered, now a long wait of 6 months.
Size 60, maybe the seatpost will fit me, I have relatively short legs for my height 🙈
Update:
At the beginning of February, I called my dealer to see if the delivery date was valid (originally mid-March) and they told me that the bike would be delayed, it would be at the end of July.
You're out of your mind, 9 months to deliver one with the excuse of a crappy bike.
The whole of January and even now in March I will think about whether to wait. The weather is on my side so far, but I have already studied the Canyon Aeroroad CF SLX Di2 or the Willier Filante SL Ultegra Di2 as they are in stock.
Shame on Trek, shame on the European representation of the brand in Germany, which is not able to deliver the bike for such a long period, they make excuses for administration and lack of components.

How tall are you?? I went with a 58cm because I'm 6 foot 2 and it just fits perfectly..I also changed out my ultegra 12 speed 175mm crankset for a 170mm ..made a huge difference in pedaling..less stress on the hip..Im suprised you have to wait 6 months because here in NYC trek is overstocked..I got my SLR black frame in a few days shipped to my bike shop..

We think it's matt black but haven't seen one in the shop yet...
Was just wondering because the Emonda SL6 has the same matt carbon smoke paint and in the pics of the emonda you can see some marbling of the carbon.
Really looking to get a SL Madone to replace my 12 year old madone.

Guys to be honest the guy that commented before is right 5999 for a bike is not a choice for the everyday man is for the enthusiasts at least all tho it’s a beautiful bike if you are braking the 2K barrier it doesn’t make sense for any one who is not training for a race or something

£5,600 for a bike with the 105 groupset which is a great groupset, but not even Ultegra at that price. WOW. My Canyon cost $1800 US and it has the 105. No wonder they say Canyon is a good value. Their $2100 CF 8 has the Ultegra groupset. Come on Trek!!!!! It is a gorgeous bike though.
Hi, and appreciate the comment. Since Covid, bike prices have really increased and in the UK we are now seeing them coming back down again. The aero innovation in the new Gen 7 Madone seems to be game changing, but you are right, this level of 'tech' doesn't come cheap. Thanks BBB

You could just buy a canyon aeroad with better components and wheels and less weight cheaper.
Yes you could, and other models from the other direct from the internet only bike brands.
Buying from bike shops has lots of advantages that are useful to many customers and 'add value' before and after sale. We will do a video on the subject in the near future. I'm sure it will generate lots of debate. Thanks BBB.
What cracks me up is modern bikes compared to vintage bikes. There are vintage bike shows that display bikes from 40 50 even 75 years ago that are still beautiful and perfectly rideable. Those days will be gone because modern bikes made of carbon aren't ever going to hold that level of quality and durability. The stuff present day bikes are made from is barely fit for purpose and not worth much at all to me. I would much rather prefer to have a custom builder build me something out of steel.

Hi, we get your point. With a £1600 deposit the monthly payment of 36 months on 0% APR finance, would be £112/month. A serious commiment sure, but doable by many who love tis level of performance and innovation. Thanks BBB

Bikes are now made increasingly difficult and expensive to service,repair and maintain, they are heavier, and stupidly expensive to buy. Looks nice tho.

Let’s get one thing straight I’ve owned this bike and it’s not fast or light in fact it’s a tank. Had it a month and sold it and went back to my 2014 TCR which is lighter and faster than this overpriced junk
