@@stalman I've been following you for a little over a year and your production value continues to progress. Appreciate everything you and Ania do for the industry.
Holy cow that was much information and ALL of it was so well presented. Going to re-watch it at least one more time to make sure I get it all down. Thank you for this
Hi, thank you for the awesome value you provided in this video. May I request a tutorial on how to create the LUTS you use for your UA-cam videos? I really enjoy the vibe it creates. Cheers.🍻
I’m interested in hearing you talk about “taste” when it comes to cloning and healing. I can never really find a balance between a polished image where everything “too perfect” and it looks heavily manufactured, and a raw image where there are unsightly details that should be removed. What do you remove for different kinds of photography? What is worth your time? How does your clone and heal change as the subject changes? This is all a part of the art of photography I have trouble getting a hold on.
This is excellent. You mentioned on a recent podcast video that you’re using Capture One more these days. Two questions: 1. Do you create similar layers in C1? 2. Before you get to this stage in Photoshop, are you doing basic adjustments in LR, or working with the RAW as it came straight out of camera? Thanks!
I’m using CaptureOne as a Lightroom replacement so my photoshop workflow is exactly the same still. And yes, definitely do all your raw adjustments before Photoshop because a 16-bit PSD is a lot less flexible
Tyler Stalman thanks! Makes sense. I would be very curious to hear your thoughts on C1. I’ve been using it for my Sony files for a while and the difference was so obvious at the raw processing level, but I’m a new Canon shooter and don’t know if it would be similarly better for the Canon files. If you’re looking for video ideas, I’d watch the heck out of your comparison.
Really informative! Quick question when it comes to editing with the layers after it's set up is there something you're supposed to do? I set up the action but my brush tool won't work.
Would happily sit through an entire video of cloning and healing. Something I’d use plenty of. I’m always worried about misclicking and making mistakes.
I have a question.. I downloaded your action. However, when I am trying to use the unify skin tone layer and go to reds (or any color) - I bump the saturation all the way up and nothing happens anywhere in the photo. What am I doing wrong?? 😅
That is very strange, I just tried it in my 2022 version and I didn't see any errors. All I can recommend is to recreate the action by recording it yourself. It should only take a few minutes.
you have so much knowledge to give and you're an excellent teacher but the plug in ads you put in your videos are a massive turn off for me and do not motivate me to subscribe to your vids. But you are an excellent teacher,
Yes, can we get a cloning and healing process where you are not speeding up the process(time stamp 3:00- 3:05)? you fast-forwarded on key parts I know beginners like myself would enjoy and appreciate. Or just post two versions, please.
So good I literally found this guy and use his Spark tutorial as my starting point for my business tips instagram account @businessandthings he is a genius and so down to earth!
I enjoy your videos but have to point out one thing. The United States was not built on the spirit of inclusion. The Declaration of Independence did not include native Americans, women, and African Americans.
@@stalman I did, but what difference does it make. You create an action with several layers, you propably don't need and offering to use them. Stupids call it color grading or grading in general...!!! Most of the times when the shooting was done right, you don't need that much layers. Therefore it's more practical to first check, with check-layers what really needs to be corrected, and then create the layers you need. Many layers means many use of RAM, for all the unused masks and layers. And as we all know, Adobe isn't good with managing computer recources ... But hey, I guess you know it better......zzz
The amount of things one can learn from this video is incredible. Please make more photoshop videos.
so much distilled and streamlined information in a little over 10 minutes. Excellent work!
This is the best tutorial greenscreening I've ever seen!
Haha i was thinking the same thing, kinda wish he'd do one on lighting and post processing of greenscreening
Second that. Noticed on a few videos, tut on that, please ;)
Crazy good!
My thoughts exactly
Learned so many new things about photoshop from this :) also, would love a tutorial about green screening
Thanks Ali! I could still use a few more green screen tutorials, it’s tough to get right
Great pace, greatly explained, great workflow, great video length. Just a great tutorial. More of this Stalman! 👏👏
This tutorial will forever change my retouching workflow, but can we talk about that chromakey accuracy? You are CRISPY.
Turns out chromakey is hard! I've still got to practice
@@stalman I've been following you for a little over a year and your production value continues to progress. Appreciate everything you and Ania do for the industry.
I couldn't find on this video how you can run the actions on every photo once you've created them?
Please do more of this videos! I love your photography content.
I cant believe how much information there was in 10 minutes wow awesome bro
I'm a newbie using PS and my brain is swirling from what one can do with this tool. Thanks for creating this content on Actions
How is his green screen so perfect and he doesn’t even have an actual green screen behind him!
Maybe there is tadumtum
Holy cow that was much information and ALL of it was so well presented. Going to re-watch it at least one more time to make sure I get it all down. Thank you for this
Thank you so much! I learned so much!
stalman, this is incredible!
That's some really good greenscreen.
Thanks Jackson, my first video using it and turns out it's easy to do a bad job and super hard to do a good job. Lots of room for improvement here.
What camera do you use, tyler? I keep astounded by the colors
These tools I used already but using this initial action will definitely improve my work flow, thanks!

Wow thanks for this sir!
Awesome stuff. Mahalo! - Excellent greenscreen execution, btw, would love to see your process.

I would watch a good amount of tutorials to get all this information. It was very useful to get them all in one video 👍Thanks

Its the best tutorial ive seen
Tyler, can actions be recorded for photomerge... that is, reference two files? How would you batch execute?
did not understand a thing, yet loved every bit of it :') . I think um gonna learn photoshop now, thank you.
You can use it for free for a few months, no better time than now!
More PS and LR tutorials. Very helpful

Good day Tyler. A prompt saying ‘this action cannot work with my version of photoshop’. Please what do i do. It’s the 2021 version.

and he engaged, what a champ!
You still use this technique?
I do, still apply it to every photo
Total noob here. My head is still spinning, but someday I'll get it...
This guys good holeeee
More Cloning and healing!
🙌🙌

I feel dumb now lol
On almost every picture ?
Maybe your overall work looks almost the same...
Better run an helper action to see what should be fixed...
I have a feeling you didn’t watch the video
