Congrats on a great year. Looking forward to seeing your channel. Continue to do well in 2024!
**edit** I made this comment before I watched the entire video and didn’t see the kind mention. Thank you very much. It was great to collaborate with you even though nobody watched it 😂. All of the members of my Patreon community say you are one of their favorites as well as one of mine!
Having just got sent the Sharpstar SCA 260 and their OAG I have to agree with you the initial quality seems solid. So far my only wish is that they would list the type of glass they use it just says “ED” but there are many different levels of ED glass, and provide a Strehl report like others in their price point.
But overall, I think they provide good value for the money, the PHQ line seems to be very sharp and I love some of the unique scopes in the sharpstar lineup

France aussi. Le pays de la météo de merde on peut le dire. Peut être que le royaume uni fait pire…

Thank you and Happy New Year. Love most of your videos. I have to take exception to you comments on the Askar V. After looking at more than 4 very positive reviews on the Askar V, I bought one and find the production unit to be excellent. Some of the reviewers had a comment or two about the build but those items appear to have been addressed with the final production. There are not zoom lenses in any way. The one moveable part is the change in one lens position in the reducer, flattener and extender to change the use from the 60mm to 80mm or back. Making that change amounts to unscrewing from the one position and then pulling out or in to the other position. The movement does not remove the lens element but only moves it. The movement is very secure and accurate to my feel. I moved from a zoom lens to this system and have tested all combinations and find the flat field to be well formed at all focal lengths (the extender slightly less sharp as the reducer and flattener but still very acceptable). All of the removable items are superbly machined for smooth operation. I just paired it with a new ASI2600MC Pro and the results are great, sharp, well formed with no vignetting corner to corner. Look forward to your future videos.

Thanks - very helpful comment. As I do not own one myself, I could only base my assumption based on the reviews and neither the one of Cuiv nor the one of Sarah Maths was very convincing. Too many excuses why stars were not perfect, too many statements like "that's not bad" and stuff like that. But I would also assume these were pre-production samples, so happy to see that the final product is great - because the concept it for sure an interesting one!

@@viewintospace It was interesting to see in Cuiv’s video last week that he had the Askar V mounted on his mount. So he still has it.
