funny I had the same idea, just installed the RT, I can remote into the boat with Airdroid and open apps to manage all victron stuff the freezer (BT) etc. I also installed a nmea-wifi and got: depth, air data on boating as well
Hi Nick, i bought the same tablet and brang it on a boat with Navionics and everything worked fine. Only problem, when we where not in the harbour we had only 12V on the boat and the tablett didnt charge at all. How is your energy supplied to the tablet, do you have the same problem?

No, mine charges fine via a usb adapter in the 12v socket as long as the battery isolator is on. But you should have a high power (2amp) charger
Hi, can You tell me what is the time of working this tablet when You use it as navigation GPS?
After a full day, I've maybe used 15-20% battery with GPS and Navionics on. So that would give 4-5 days use - inc the night, maybe 2-3 full days
@@Nick_G7IZR Thank You.
Hi there - looks good! What is the rail mount you are using?
amzn.to/3PT2XRr
Do you find it bright enough? For outdoors use?
I can't compare it to the latest greatest Raymarine MFD, but compared to my existing chartplotter, it's brighter and easier to see/read outdooors.
Very informative ( de G4XJC )
