I really love your work. I've been trying to loc my hair off and on for over 15 years without success. Watching your videos showed me that I was doing it all wrong for my hair texture. Now I'm 6 months in with my loc journey thanks to your tutorial. So very grateful to you for sharing your knowledge.
@@DXlocs I just wanted to say thank the lord for your recommendations, especially concerning how to twist locs ... I’ve been using only oil now , ‘normal or natural drying ‘ time , and it has been a true blessing.. I believe oil is best for retwist .. NO GEL .. lol 😂
Thought I was the only that uses a comb during shampooing. Honestly did not know the exact reason until this vid.👍🏿 Edit: I also infuse moringa in my hair oil, my scalp loves it.
Hi, do you do this everytime you wash his hair every 2 weeks? Also, will any clarifying shampoo do? I'm just starting locs and one thing I'm nervous about is not getting them as clean as possible. Thank you for this detailed video, it's extremely helpful, especially for someone like me who's just starting out xx
😂😂 @ 7 pm EST. I would love to see a video on how you did the style. His hair does look a lot when down. I'm surprised it is only 40. How long did he sit under the hair dryer for with that style? Can't wait to try the new hair products. Congratulations on it.
I love your account 😍 I loved the lock look but had no idea on how to maintain them... So I would go to the salon but they cut my roots when they would crochet my locks😭. My roots were thinning out but my locks thick.😭🤦🏽♀️
How did you fuse his locks together crochet or inner lock. I need mines done so I can have weight pulling at my root cause there to small so it lifts lik a lil afro when it grows I have about 200 dreads in counting and its getting to heavy
@DXLYN, I understand the horrors of oil build up, but what other reasons are there for not moisturizing the loc strands and can loc strands be cared for like unloc'd hair?
Can you please post more loc styles for men I am willing to pay to.see that content. My wife wants to learn how to style my locks but there's not a lot of control showing in detail
I just found your channel. I loved this video. I am trying to learn how to take care of locs for my best friend. I hope that you sell the clarifying shampoo in the future. I would like to know do you dry the locs after washing; do you immediately style after washing or air-dry? The full process from the wash to retwisting. I will have to go through your videos. To see how to dry and how to retwist (reloc). Approximately, how often do you wash?
If it’s a loose style like twists, I will style then dry. If it’s a restricted style like cornrows I will dry first. With thick locks I dry once briefly and then style so the hair is still malleable them I dry fully like I did him. Thank you so much. I hope to soon 🙏🏿
I don’t have much experience in hair but with everything going on I haven’t had fully washed hair in 30+ days as I can’t schedule an appointment with my loctitian. Is it safe to wash without a retwist? I was told it was not so ya know...I haven’t but I’d like to learn more on how to care for my own hair. I just know I can’t retwist it lol
You absolutely can wash. If the are still young you can use dry shampoo in the meantime. If the aren’t, wash them. Just make sure you keep the separated. Even rolling the roots under your fingers will help. Check out the playlist of my 1 year no retwist journey. Lost of tips in there
I started my locs 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I had a fro so they’re growing fast and are already shaking n touching my ear. But my scalp is itching and flaking. I’ve been using the tea tree spray for itching. I go back on the 16th for a retwist. If I get it washed b4 then will my locs come out? Or lmk if I can get any products for the itching and flaking please
Young Goon try to cleanse your scalp with some witch hazel and cotton ball. If you hair is short I would wait for your stylist to do it. It is likely to unravel a lot in the wash
DXLYN locs Nah my hair is long but she told me to come next Friday and she’ll wash it. I’m pretty sure my scalp is dirty but thats normal for starter locs right
I was pre med major but decided I wasnt passionate enough to acquire all that debt lol. So I graduated bc I love science/research and called it a day 😂 I hope to do bio research again in the future.
Hey y'all,I have starter locs and because of the SOE in place in my country I may not be able to see my stylist for a good six months Y'all got any tips got for my baby locs?
I used a detox on my bf locs and his hair was so dirty 😩...i used a clarifying shampoo as well after...i see there is lil white particles on his dreads as well as in your video. Is this normal!!! Also when using the wrap strips ...do you use a foam before applying..?
His hair type, texture, and locs are beautiful!
Men with dimples are a beautiful thing. Hair looks great.
I’m never sure how I end up on channels like these, but I’m glad I do... always beautiful work
Everyone pls WATCH at least 1 commercial without skipping so she can get paid!! She's worth it!
His parts are so well done and the amount of new growth is so thick and full. I’m jealous! Makes me wanna combine my hair.
“Oh my goodness” relaxing and informative as always.

Hi. During your visit, what part of Haiti did you get the moringa oil from?
You can find it in just about any. I get it in the north(CAP), central (PAP) and south (SUD). I pick some up where ever I happen to be.
How long did he wait for a retwist?
LaKeatress Freeman 2-3 month in between retwists
I would only loc my hair if I lived close to you. You would be the only one I would let touch my hair!!! 😚☺️🤗😘
Chemistry and Biology 🧪 🧬 background... 🤔 Sis Ebay did you do in the past 🤓
