Understanding Kaworu Part 2

In part 2 of my Kaworu Nagisa analysis I compare Kaworu's depiction from Neon Genesis Evangelion and his depiction from the Evangelion Rebuild series. Here we explore how the expansion of his characterization fundamentally changes Kaworu and gives credence to Kawoshin, the popular shipping of Shinji Ikari and Kaworu. Though Hideaki Anno has never said anything directly on the matter, we'll explore all the evidence from the theatrical releases as well as official merchandise. So is Kaworu gay?
