- On October 31, 2020, a 25-year old Gervonta Davis (23-0, 22 KO) faced Mexican boxer Léo Santa Cruz, who was 32 years old with a record of 37-1-1 in a super-featherweight unification fight. Cruz was on a five-fight win streak with 19 KO wins, and was the taller of the two by 5 cms and also had a 4 cm reach advantage over Davis.
Davis defeated Cruz via 6th round KO to win the WBA (Super) super-featherweight title and retain the WBA (Regular) super-featherweight title. He is now on a 24-fight winning streak, with 15 back-to-back KO wins.

Tank is a smart fighter. He is one of the few boxers today who can make adjustments. He doesn’t fight the same way. He feels you out and adapt accordingly. He knew Santa Cruz couldn’t hurt him so he went at toe to toe. And well you see what happened!

Davis' timing, anticipation, power, defense and counter punching ability will not allow you to get away clean with three sloppy identical telegraphed punches. He will make you pay.
