Something that bothers me about how we discuss Saudi online, particularly amongst commenters, is the focus on Western concerts as pretty much the main criticism people repeat. Dont be get me wrong those are valid critiques but the Saudis have committed FAR WORSE sins. They have deported Uygher Muslims to China where they are immediately killed as part of a genocide. They partner with Hindutva finance groups so that the BJP, who kill muslims and destroy masjids, make money off of Hajj trips. Thirty years ago when I was active in dawah, I attended an ishtimah where a very learned brother said during his talk that if Saudi Arabia would lead, the Ummah would follow. Sadly, up till now, KSA refuses. If it were not for Makkah and Medina being the safest places on Earth, especially during end of times, I would end my support. The rulers are seen as being the causes when in reality they are only the symptoms. The true illness is within the ruled. Therefore, all endeavors towards finding a solution should focus on the ruled themselves. The deeds of the ruled are reflected in the deeds of the people having authority over them. When the people are not ready and are away from the deen of Allaah, who would you expect them to deserve as rulers?
