In this exclusive interview, the Brady sister in the middle of the Eve-Mo chasm explains why fans shouldn't expect to see a 40th anniversary gathering of all six Brady kids this fall, on "Oprah" or elsewhere. She also discusses co-stars Florence Henderson's and Chris Knight's less-than-Brady public war of words about his marriage to reality TV star Adrianne Curry. In footage seen in this Olsen interview segment,, Adrianne joins Susan, her TV brothers, Robbie Rist ("Bunch"'s cousin Oliver) and wisecracking special guest star Davy Jones at Hollywood Show's very Brady extravaganza.

Eve needs to just stop. As a middle aged adult go talk or yell to Maureen, forgive and be friends. They were part of an iconic part of America. They will always have that stigma. You have to get to a point of acceptance. Its hard for us John q public to accept you were anything other than the characters...so yes you'll always have the stigma...embrace it Eve...enjoy that Jan can also now be a painter and a mother and a member of a community...stop being such a stick in the mud.

There’s more to the Eve/Maureen stuff than just the book it goes back to the days of the show. In the book Maureen, Eve and Susan shared a dressing room and Maureen said (according to the book) that Eve would walk around the dressing room naked and expelled gas...when Maureen and Susan complained about it Eve said “get over it”

I like that Susan isn't some glam-queen with botox, she's just herself and tells it like it is. The former Brady Kids really are like a real family of siblings, good and bad times it seems. Theirs was the first TV show for my generation, the late '60s baby boomers' kids who didn't act or look like Father Knows Best, Donna Reed or Leave It To Beaver. They were...cool. ;)
At 2:34, I so agree with Susan Olsen. I think that Eve Plumb GREW UP. It was fun while it lasted but let's move on. We're adults now. Eve Plumb was by far the smartest of them all. She is a very sharp business woman and very gifted artist. Her paintings sell all over the world. She signs them "Eve" but will sign them as "Jan Brady" if you ask her. Her parents bought her a house in her name in Newport Beach,Ca. for $50,000 when she was 11 (1969), from her proceeds from the show. She recently sold it for $4 million. Leave her alone haters.
Yes Eve did grow up in fact she's a middle-aged woman. She needs to get over the fact that to American eyes and probably the world She'll always have or be Jan Brady all of them will and our eyes. She needs to just Embrace that fact that the public will always think of her that way but there's another part of her it is allowed to become a woman a painter professional in her own right. Is she has issues that happened with Maureen when they were both kids then as an adult she needs to just go to Maureen and say hey look I don't like what you did to me on this show I don't like what you did. then Maureen can either say I'm sorry or not but she needs to forgive and move on really.

Oliver didn't ruin The Brady Bunch. Oliver was added into The Brady Bunch because the show was about done. A lot of family sitcoms have a last stand with a "cute kid" brought in to save the day. It never works.
ivegotalongdong How about Greg gets in into film and writing school at USC. Peter becomes an excellent drummer, and is asked to tour with the Pat Metheny group in 76'. Bobby gets into UC Berkeley as an engineer. Then they all end up working together. That's an I dea for Sherwood .
ivegotalongdong That would have definitely worked. The show would have had to move to HBO (after skipping the years before HBO came into existence in the late 70's), but it would have survived.
Possibly! But we are talking the networks mainly. David Cassidy tried it with "Man Undercover" after the "Partridge" gig. That did not turn out too well. The people or viewing Audience have to be "Entertained" and want to come back episode after episode.You can't be too smart or people will not get it in mass.
Maybe you're right, but the little prick was still annoying, and it probably expedited the process in getting the series off the air.

As a longtime Eve Plumb fan (she was THE reason why I watched TBB), I generally agree with that assessment. She's had many acting roles both before and after TBB, not to mention her second life as a professional painter. That being said, Eve shouldn't be surprised when people ask her about TBB on TV or radio talk shows as that is what most people know her for, if they know her at all.
Eve Plumb needs to get over herself. "Jan Brady" is why anybody knows her name today.

She's still involved in the acting profession, albeit not at a very visible level (mostly off Broadway shows). The rest of the "Brady Six" (which is what I call the "kids") are not involved in acting anymore. That's what I mean.

Janaka Manobah it was on "All That", a Nickelodeon show during the 1990s, back when Eve dyed her hair brown to escape her "Jan Brady" look.
She should have just worn a black curly wig, and the rest of the cast should just act like she is invisible!

bills2020: Actually that's not true. I have the book and she spoke of Ms. Plumb quite a bit about their times as Bradys. Notably, her jealousy of Eve's quicker maturation and many normal girly activities. She didn't write the book to write solely about the Brady's - it was her life she was recounting. Seemed pretty clear to me!

I agree. I saw an interview where Maureen meant "the Kiss" as just a joke. However, If the kiss was just a joke,, then why did Maureen keep talking about it,, yet not in the book? If the kiss was true, then thats really bad form on Maureen's part. Maybe Eve didnt want that made public.But it seems to me that there might have been some strain between Maureen and Eve prior, just from the comment that Susan made about always being in the middle of them.
I heard that they were the opposite of their characters, that Maureen was very jealous of Eve because she developed sooner and ended up being prettier then her,the guys were looking at Eve,not her. I think it was very wrong of Maureen to say what she did and you know it was just to sell her book. She didn't think of anyone else. If Eve doesn't want to talk about the Brady Bunch years all the time, that's her right! She's not the first actress/actor that wants to be known for more than one thing.
It goes back to the show...the way I heard it Maureen was jealous of Eve because Eve purchased a house in Malibu fir $55,000 with her earnings from the show while Maureen was blowing her earnings on cocaine...
I believe that there was something about Michael Gray (Billy Batson from Shazam) being Eve’s bf and that Maureen stole him away from Eve and then dumped him a few days later
"Cindy" was only a year older than me and i watched the BB from the time it first aired & all the re-runs. I'm an only child and envied their big family, especially in my more lonely times.
Isn't she the Sister that everyone would like to have, well, grown up. She told on everyone on the show. LOL But really, she just seems to nice to talk too and be around.

I don't know what you mean here either. I actually find Susan to be a more "everyday" type of person as you do. She's warm, real and with the exception of this Brady factor in her life, (which can be huge), is pretty darn normal. :)
The Bradys and Davy Jones too towards end of video.. Kinda sad, now end of 2018.. I feel like The Brady Bunch nostalgia era ended for the most part. It was a good run though... :)

Guys, things take time to pass. On the other hand there are a lot of things that can destroy a friendship. I don't think that any of you should go around telling others to get over something because neither of us have other people's feelings. If Maureen & Eve are still hurt about whatever then we should respect that.

it's their not there...i grew up in the 60s and 70s....and i think it was the first show about a family that was just really reflective of the 70s and it was fresh to show a blended family. they did make it so neat and sweet though without the angst of dealing with exes...not real!

I...was just thinking that(how "genuine" she seems). I LIKE her! She's candid &...honest! She was sooo *adorable* on the Brady Bunch. My favorite "Cindy Scene"? When Greg was trying to sell his car and then Cindy came outside with a box of..."parts"(presumably from the car Greg was trying to sell)&-to avoid a possible "lost" sale-told her to go..."grab a candy bar" from his room.(ie: Get out of here!!!).
I didn't like the show very much, but this chick is down to earth likable and pretty in her own, unusual, way.

Why did Maureen make that claim? And to think that she resented all the stories about her and Barry Williams. As for Eve, I cannot help but be a bit annoyed by her "I need to move on" attitude. It is not as if she excelled in any other role or became known for anything else. She should be thankful for the fame and fortune that The Brady Bunch provided her.
It was 40 (now 50) years ago. Let her move on without being saddled with this cheesy show for the entirety of her life.

What does she expect people to ask questions about? There was one talk show where she snapped at an audience member for staying on the topic of The Brady Bunch. If she wants to move on as she says, okay, but she needs to realize that TBB is the only thing she is known for, so in that case, cut out the public appearances.

Imagine being super well known for a goofy photo or home movie your folks made of you at 14 years old. Now imagine being an adult with grandkids, and still being thought of by strangers as your former 14-year-old self. I'm guessing the Brady Bunch bubble must feel like that sometimes, and I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to move on from that kind of recognition. It says a lot that they're all cool with it now.

They were never close. The two of them had such different personalities and literally had nothing in common. Maureen was a huge flirt and Eve was very rebellious. There was already bad blood going on between them while the original series was filming.
Patricia STE 2A Yeah but what's ironic about the 'innuendo' thing being blamed, is that when Florence died, she publicly stated how she admired Henderson's ability to 'tell a dirty joke' even though she was a professional too. So if she thinks dirty jokes are cool, why would a lesbian comment be so upsetting? I think it goes much deeper than that, and ever since she said she 'admired' Florence's dirty joke telling, I no longer believe the lesbian thing is why she's mad.
Eve Plumb always fighting to get away from "Jan Brady" is just ignorant. Always fighting against something that quite frankly makes her recognizable today. How many paintings do you think "fake Jan" would sell if she was a painter? How many acting rolls has "fake Jan" gotten? Not as many as "real Jan" Eve Plumb.
Eve has to get over herself. She's not "Jan Brady" but without "Jan Brady" she probably wouldn't continue to get the advantages she has. She owes "Jan Brady" her career.

I guess that Eve is bound and determined to prove that any success she has an actress and painter in more recent years is completely in spite of, not because of, her association with her famous character. People should leave Eve alone, she moved on. It's like some of us prefer not to attend high school reunions or meet up with co-workers that we haven't seem in 20 years. I agree to some point, but it's not just not wanting to attend it's not wanting to be associated with it and she's an icon in American history as well as a world history now. And also it's a friction it's not that she just is too busy with her present life it's that she purposely doesn't want to even return phone calls from Maureen who has apologized. And to me as an adult things that happen when you're young you have to get over oh, you have to forgive cannot carry The Grudge day in and day out for years and decades. It's not good. It's fine if she doesn't want to attend every cast show but I would think there are certain things she should be a part of even if she has to push herself a little. That's what being an adult is all about pushing yourself to do the right thing even when you don't want to for the good of all and others.

wow. i cant believe i STILL watch the brady bunch. and if they did a 2014 reunion episode... i would watch it. i ACTUALLY wish some producer would do a todays version of the brady bunch but it wouldnt really be a comedy and the ONLY name that would be use is brady. dont call the characters marcia, jan, greg. etc. call them somethg else. make the show a serious type sitcom. dealing with real life todays issues. after people get over the shock value on how different the show is from the original.... it would be accepted and a hit. just a thought.

Eve had a problem with being Jan during the show's run. That's why she didn't participate in the variety series. She did do "The Brady Brides" with Maureen. As a child growing up with this show I'm glad to see them all together for the Brady House renovations. But no matter how much I wish, it won't ever be the 70s again.
I know ! The 70's were such different times..we had problems and dealt with them and moved on. Today we don't ever really get rid of problems and have more stress than ever. We lived back then , now we just survive. You know I have more happy memories back then compared to few I have made in the last 20 years.

It's so sad that Maureen and Eve are "feuding." Idk the whole story or what really happened b/w the 2 of them but it's so sad when people who've known each other so long suddenly stop talking. From what I see, I think Eve is being a little bitter & immature but like I said idk the whole story or how she feels so I can't judge, nor do I know what Maureen's really like, who knows maybe Eve's feelings are warranted. Hopefully they can bury the hatchet someday and be a big happy Brady family again.
