Hi, i have an Asus dual rx 6400 graphics card and an i3 10100f processor. The game starts at 75 fps at 1080p ultra settings and drops to 50. I only experience this in Far Cry 5. What would be the reason?
Bro it depends on how is the curent state of the laptop, if the CPU and GPU fans are over klocked with dust, if it's clean then it might be insufficient termal paste on the cpu. You might try maxing the fans to decrease the heat for a couple more frames but if those will not work it might be the problem for the excesed use of the laptop and that will affect your intire performance in later years causing to re-buy a new laptop and i understand that it's not easy to dump a laptop for a new one. You can try spending 500 dollars and build a custom desktop PC and that will outrun the laptop with no problem. Good luck bro ✌️.

But my wallet now hurts 😂

Yes i3 10th is bottleneck, first because pcie revision. It will give him a bandwidth bottleneck, i tried with i3 10th, and i didn't get fully used gpu plus i had bandwidth bottleneck so it's understandable why. With RX 6400 you will get bandwidth bottleneck they are dumb put x4 lines and 64bit bus width and all that work with pcie 4.0 and released as low end, budget friendly gpu, yes but you will need beast cpu and motherboard to pull maximum from that gpu.

1. There might be a bottleneck between your gpu and cpu 2. You have your game on your D disc and not your C disc. Most of the times, D disc is the hard drive and the C disc is the SSD. If you put your games on your SSD, there will be a guaranteed drop in stutters and frame drops. Also, your games will load faster. 3. Not enough ram. Also, a cause for stutters, is a ram defficiency in your pc.

I wrote in the comments that I forgot to change the name from 6500 XT to RX 6400, and I only realized it after testing 3 or 4 games. So, I changed it to 6400.
