Moro is from the southern part of the Philippines where majority are Muslims. The Kris are traditionally made and crafted by the Tausug and used as weapon to defend their homeland against the foreign invaders.
Although some details are a bit off it is very obvious that you've done your research very well. The waves and the angle of your kris is wicked! Even the "Okir" is showcased. As a moro, i really think that this blade is worthy to be worn by a moro sultan. Biggest respect sir!
The tang is not typically Moro Kris, but more like Javanese one. The tang is a bit forward and the curve is assymetric, like Javanese or Malay Kris. The Moro Kris is designed to be used in real combat, and the Javanese designed more like symbolic heirloom. So the Moro Kris should be more robust, longer and thicker.
Very cool, looks like a true Labor of love! The Tausug and Maranao people would be happy to see their cultural weapons being shown some love in the USA, very nice as always.
@@SanduguanKali By saying that Moro is not part of FMA you're saying that they're not filipino. We'd greatly appreciate it if you don't remove people from their own country. Thanks.
First time ever watching your video. At first I thought you’re in the Philippines, As I watched I’m guessing your in the states SDKali.. SOCAL? I’ve watched many blade making vids frm the Phil. Your attention to detail is refreshing. You immersed yourself in the Filipino Culture it shows in your blades, tattoos. Your Kris is beautiful, def an heirloom. Thanks for the vid, i truly enjoyed it. Stay strong and humble my bro. I wish you the best
hi I'm Indonesian but I'm not from Java I'm from Palembang but in Palembang there are also many people who like to collect kris. We are very grateful for introducing kris to another country
There are 3 or more special types of iron mix in order to forge the kris so that its become super light and solid. The lagendary Malay kris are forge by 21 types of iron mix. Due to so many iron mix, the kris' blade become irriate to skin. such a poison
This seems incorrect… the tang is recognisable as almost a stick or rod in all the examples I have ever examined or in my collection.. European looking tang
As malay, the Keris has it’s philosophy an stuff, symbolism and representation. But seems like you having fun and forging is your passion, i enjoyed it too. Thanks for sharing and give keris a try, I think your hardwork and dedication into the keris is part of the keris represent to our people and your hard work take on challenges do it justice into the tradition. Such great talent and craftsmanship. An excellent blade.

Another great work!
As tausug. This is what we call perfection in tausug "maka haylan!" Or attractive!
Looks good. But I doubt the kind of steel he used .
I don't see much forging. Because it is probably cut from a modern steel .

Beautiful stuff. The kind of weapon that made me interested in FMA :-)
They actually don’t use this weapon real FMA. It is exclusive to the Moro people
@@SanduguanKali You are wrong , the Kris is pre Islamic sword.
