I love how he looks. Definitely seems too small, and would have preferred mire accuracy to the comics vs. game, but ultimately I'm just happy to have an articulated version of this costume.

At 7:19 that other armored Spidey is the Spider Armor Mark 3. (both figures were based on the PS4 game rather than the comics)
Articulation on the figure blows, but man it makes up for it with that awesome Sculpt. I just wish he was bigger. In the Animated Series, he was seemingly the "biggest" spiderman of the multiple spidermen that showed up in those last episodes

I would also really like if we got a “Slingers” wave with Ricochet, Hornet, Prodigy and Dusk. They could also give us silvermain with a human body or smyth if they really want to cater to 90s kids

I got the original 90s in my Easter basket circa 1994, so I am really excited to get a hold of this guy. For me to buy a figure these days, it’s gotta be really special.

His proportions really hit well.. size of his head, size of his feet and hands. He looks really good.. like better than the usual marvel legends for sure, they put some time into this guy. Limits to the articulation sucks but what can you do, definitely a good pick up though. Really like the silver they used, very good paint. Love the photos at the end btw, stepping your game up lately big time!
I was super disappointed that this came with web effects in place of wall crawling hands. If they felt that they had to gimp one figure in the wave in terms of hands, why not the Black Suit's thwip hands? Most people associate that costume with the symbiote version over the cloth one anyway.
As for other Spider Suits I'd like to see, I'd like to see an Armored Spider-Man based more off its comic design(this one is more based off the PS4 game), and I'd love it if they made a figure of the Purple Reign suit from the Miles game.
Exactly, with the whole thing about this being based on the video game. I mean it's straight up on the retro card, it's supposed to represent the cartoon, or at least the comic. Don't make a damn bit of sense, but that's Hasbro. This will have to be the placeholder until they make a brand new mold for a comic version, circa 2027.

I've seen other reviewers point out that this look is more accurate to the PS4 game than the actual comics, and that's probably why it's more in scale with other Gamerverse figures.
I hope they redo Superior Spider-Man, Big Time Spider-Man, and Future Foundation Spider-Man on the new retro body.
Even so, I feel like he would put of scale with some of those too. The PS4 version is the same size as Cyborg Spidey

So happy to finally have this design in figure form. This clearly being a Gamerverse designed figure repackaged as the comics version doesn't bother me too much cuz the Game design was extremely close to the comics. The size doesn't bother me too much either, yeah I wish he was bigger but I can reconcile it as this being early in Peter's career.

It's not the retro Armored Spider-man from the comics we wanted. As usual Hasbro mixes up this line, by putting a Gamerverse Armored Spider-man into a Animated or whatever they decide on the day line. Checkout the classic look, or the game and you'll see the difference. That's why he's so short.
I don’t think that excuses the size though. The PS4 Spidey is on that same body at the cyborg version. Is Armored Spidey a different character in the game?
@@UnparalleledUniverse No he's just one of the suits in the game. I'm not a massive Gamerverse fan, or have a PS4, but because I bought complete waves for BAFs, I have the other Gamerverse suits, and they all match this size. Check out the screenshots for Spider-man MK1 Suit online.
He is smaller than the comic figures because this is the armor as it appears in the PS4 game and has more realistic proportions. Great update to the original suit, though I would have preferred a more comic accurate appearance for the figure personally.

Saw this at Target and passed on it. This spidey looks pretty decent but it definitely lacks in articulation and accessories, not really worth $23 bucks for me. I'll definitely pick him up if there's a discount in the future.

This figure pisses me the fudge off, how in their right mind could hasbro take this obvious gamerverse vesion of the character, give it the whole new sculpting treatment, and then put it it on the retro card, when they should have done the actual classic Spider-Armor MK 1 from the comics and cartoon!? This design might be close to it is terms of the details, but it lacks the silhouette, the bulkier, beefier statue this suit should have, and the very pronounced shoulder pads. And since they did this version, that nearly eliminates the chances of a classics version being made with same love and care anytime soon! Screw this Figure! Terrible, Ridiculous, I won’t stand for it!
